I got a set of Blizzak DM-V2 for the ski season for the first time ever for this year. Got them 10% off at Firestone, so like $230/tire over the Firestone winter tires at around $200. They were well reviewed on Youtube by TFL Truck against the three-peak AT tires, which is what I have ran for...
Caster is not adjustable, I thought, on 5th gen Rangers.
I have Icon Stage 6 (2.5" level, UCAs, leaf springs) and my alignment was all in the green except 1 slightly red on one caster. I think my shop got the camber slightly better than yours. My camber was not as good before the Icon UCAs.
I...
That's how it reads now, in past years they specifically said not to add it to the engine side because people slather the red shit on too much. A light coating on the dirty side is all it needs, it will soak through and be red both sides if you let it sit as the instructions also say.
None, just noticed it kind of ran better after. Could have been placebo, but mine also looked pretty worn at 75k like many of the other photos on the forum
I noticed a change when I replaced them at 75k, meaning they had degraded noticeably. They might live until 100k but they are so cheap... why?
Just be careful if you DIY and do it right, full send.
Yeah that video shows the shimmy pretty well! Motivates me to try something. I really wish Icon had a solution for this and I'm surprised that they don't.
I'm curious what the consensus is on the fix and I'm surprised we don't have an aftermarket kit that comes with the Icon or other leafs that lift the rear.
There is a TSB for the shudder and the Ford kit to fix it is KB3Z-4C088-B, they shim the axle to the leaf springs to correct the drive line...
Every other oil change is about what I do.
Don’t listen to the rampant misinformation on K&N letting stuff through. There are UOAs to prove otherwise, and Ford Performance wouldn’t be giving them out with warrantied tunes if there was an issue in this application.
I think the popular K&N...
Check and torque the sway bar links and ball joints into the knuckle
I swapped our my dealer installed FP Fox 2.0 about 5 years / 75k miles later.... to my surprise the knuckle fell right off the upper ball joints as I loosened the ball joint nut without having to use a separator, both sides! I...
Do it!
mine is also a Dexter EZ Lube. It really is a piece of cake to flush and regrease the hubs. Look up the axle user manual. This axle is also water submersible for water crossings if it matters to you.
My travel trailer is 1400lbs dry and it has a 2000lb axle with electric brakes. I towed it once before putting in a Redarc and I could feel the brake fade down steep hills. With the Redarc in its 100 times better. Stops on a dime. Had to turn down the braking force because I could feel the...
Depends on your budget. I can attest that the ride got WAY better in the back when I went to ICON leaf springs with the FP Fox 2.0. Later on I ended up swapping to all ICON with about 70k miles on the Fox that had started to get bouncy. The stock progressive mono leaf is a neat design but it’s...
First I’ve heard of it. What was the nature of the failure? Low on oil is an absolute death knell for any motor, especially a boosted one. And low on oil doesn’t just happen on its own on a low mileage motor. Some major details are missing here.
I just finished upgrading my aged Fox 2.0 to a full ICON stage 6 kit. Lift is 2.5" front and maybe 1.0" rear.
I think your Tremor just comes with Fox 2.0 from the factory so it should be compatible with everything else for the Ranger. Since you already have a leaf pack with the Tremor you'd...
