Just wondering how easy or how hard is it to put these letters on? I am wanting to get a set. Never did anything like this before.

Two different methods possible.

1) you put a piece of tape over top of it. Position the decal where you want it, attach the tape, bend it back to peel off the backing of the decal, and then attach the decal.

2) Soapy water mixture. Spray the tailgate with a soapy water mixture, which allows the sticker to kinda float on it, allowing for final positioning, then the water evaporates and the decal sticks in place.

Neither are particularly difficult.

If you’re concerned about applying them yourself, most window tinting places will do it for you for a fee.

The tailgate ones are fairly easy, just use a lot of soapy water and I used a q-tip to help move them around and smooth them out. With that said I really didn't like them so I peeled them off and got these . They are super easy to put on,I think it took all of 10 minutes and I personally like the way they look better than the vinyl ones. I had not taken the plastic off when the pic was taken but they are a glossy finish.

10 times easier if you take the tailgate off and put it on sawhorses. Now you can apply the decals in a flat position.

I just use soapy water to soak the entire place where the decal is going to go. Once it's wet you can slide it around to make it fit perfectly. I would never try and install something like this without Dawn and some water keep it wet. Sort of like tinting a window.

I actually have two layers of letters. The first one I put on was matte black. Then I found some black reflecting letters and install those over the initial flat black ones.

Where did you find the reflective lettering? I've been looking for something like that.

My bad I knew somebody would ask I'll check it out. I did a google search and could not find them. Ask TVD decals if they could make one in reflective black. I searched everywhere. Don't remember where I got them

It's not too hard if you follow the instructions, just requires patience, especially with the "G". Took me about half an hour or so, some letters are easier to put on than others using the "wet method" but I'm happy with how mine came out.

It's all about Dawn and water. Spray the truck Slide the letters on. It's not brain surgery. You don't have to take the tailgate off with this method.

The G & E were the trickiest but mostly the E. After wetting them they seemed to want to curl and stick to itself. It's like trying to work with a wet piece of spaghetti lol.

Found these ones on amazon, adhesive, raised, and reflective. I think they are awesome and go really good with the lightning blue. The only thing I am worried about is, i dont want them to come off if i go through a car wash.

My truck, if it ever gets here will be Iconic Silver. Does anybody have a suggestion as to which type of letters and color(s) would look best? This is a new color for the 2020 Ranger.

Looks like the 2020 Iconic silver will be slightly darker than the 2019 Ingot silver. My post above shows what black vinyl letters look like on the Ingot silver but I guess it's really up to you and what you like. I kind of like AR-19 (Ryan's) patriotic letters but not sure how they would look on my silver truck.
Here's the difference in the silvers based on looking at the Ranger brochure on line.
2020 on the left and 2019 on the right.
