Tastes like chicken. Florida residents are allowed to humanely kill them. Lot's of recipes floating around.
Yup, this guy is making tacos out of them. 🌮🌮 🦎

You guys thought the central states will finally get some much needed relief by the weekend! The N'east looks to warm up a little but still has some cold sticking around. Looks like temps will be in the mid - upper 60's (some areas hitting 70) for many and now it's our turn to get back to normal temps out here in the west with a stormy pattern coming in for us too. Hopefully it brings some much needed snow to the mountains.

2/128- 3/7 but I wouldn't take stock that far out.

I walked into work today and exclaimed 'happy melting day'! I'll take rain anytime over snow or ice.

You guys in the N'east are hogging all the snow. lol There's not much out here in the west as you can see by the chart.

To see what the snowpack is up in the Rockies, I usually watch this website. It has a graph which shows snowpack depth by date for several years going back. The link is live, so it will show the latest depth for the current date and backward.

https://snowpack.water-data.com/uppercolorado/index.php

As of this date, the snow pack is at its lowest level for any year, going back to 2017. That's not good for us out here in the western states.

We got another 6 inches last night and this morning. Had to drive to a doctor appointment in Rochester this morning and my black truck is totally white with just clear glass where the wipers wipe. Running boards have a couple hundred pounds of ice, salt, and sand on them now. Passed a new jeep that was being winched out on the way. He must have been driving fast and wound up about 200 feet off the road with a tree stopping him. They sure crumple easily. Soo many idiots on the road that think 4wd means drive faster in snow and forget the consequences.

This! I use to love watching the soccer moms with their fancy new SUV's speeding down the road in the first bad snowstorm. Then, a couple miles down the road they were usually off in the woods or upside down in a ditch because they thought having AWD was a pass to be driving like an idiot on bad weather.

I thought we'd be more in the red here but were only in abnormally dry to moderate drought conditions. Mel @Ranger Mel you're right it is very dry up your way which is kind of shocking. Still bad but not as bad as South Texas and Florida. Man, you guys really need some rain there and hopefully it's gradual or else you'll see some major flooding. Florida's more of a surprise for me because when my parents had their house down there in SWFL there was a lot of rain back then. There was always an afternoon downpour just about every day around 4 pm and the streets would flood and turn the area into a sauna. 🥵

I don't like the look of that, although there is a chance for rain tomorrow, we'll see. As of this afternoon the gravel road has the consistency of driving on chalk.

Our snow pack is well below 50% which will make for a dry summer and potentially a severe fire season. We're getting rain but very little snow accumulation in the mountains around us. I can't remember it being this bad in the 48 years living here.

I have to agree with @got3fords. I will take rain over the ice and snow anytime.

We are expecting mucho rain tomorrow, with highs in low to mid 40's. Opted to smoke my country ribs today vs. tomorrow. Not much ice still on the ground, hopefully tomorrow's rain will clean it up more.
