YES, Captain Obvious, i know this a Ranger Forum and I just signed up for the Bronco 6g forum.

i know some folks here explored buying a 6g Bronco is why I’m posting a question here.

Of all the Ford forums I’ve joined, this one, Bronco Sport, F150gen6, Maverick, and Mustang7g, this one has been the most educational and FUN.

Management and I are planning on ordering a MY26 Mustang GT convertible during the February POTUS sale.

Management floated an idea of getting a Bronco which we believe has roof panels that can be removed to give a convertible experience.

SO, anyone here versed enough in Broncos to steer us towards which model / options would give us a convertible experience.

Intended use is for day trips when we are not out and about with our TT.

The Bronco also gives us full year use as we plan to lay up the STANG when winter crap is on the roads. We are about a half hour drive from Mt Washington in NH, live in Maine, to give you an idea of GEO location.

I sold my Ranger and got an Expedition for a better tow vehicle.....BUT, this forum is just too much fun to leave. Expy forum is very Ho-Hum...very little interaction.
This place is GREAT !!!:like:

I haven't kept up with the Bronco since all the mess they had with the first few years orders. I was going to order a loaded Badlands but my intended use was for mainly off road. I found that the sweet spot for Broncos was the Black Diamond but of course they don't make it anymore. It was a model that gives you enough options/extras at a mid price point. Now they have the Black Diamond package in the Big Bend model. Looking at them now I'd opt for the Outer Banks as you can upgrade to the 2.7 V6. Just make sure the towing specs are up to what your TT needs which is around 4,500 lbs towing.

I'm pretty sure ALL the Bronco's have removable (hard) tops and retractable (soft) tops. I could be wrong though.

Sucks the 2dr no longer can be had with the 2.7 V6. This with a V6 😍

I think the retractable soft tops are hideous looking when they're actually retracted.
I'd vote for removable hard top every time.

I'll second that, and agree 100%.

No towing. Wondering if I can get a convertible experience with a Bronco

There's a few models where you can get the convertible top as a dealer installed extra. Maybe @Zach@granger from Granger Motors can help out

Personally I like this look much better. You still have some roof protection in case of a roll over and they make Bimini tops that you can remove easily now. The one I had on my Jeep you could still put the panels on without removing the Bimini top which was really nice.
