Hi all, trying to diagnose the "Adblue system service required" No start condition.

The truck has been in storage for a few years and has only done 30k miles, all wiring has been checked and cleaned, all adblue system and components have been checked etc also. Everything is clean and has no crystalization etc

Pump and injector test with forscan shows no errors.

Forscan shows codes - P204F and P20BA for Heater A.

I have reset the modules and sensors individually, still not fixed, I have also reset the SCR to get the 30 miles or so before it prevents starting again, this also has not worked at all and immediatly after reset still have a no start condition.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, I can provide more data if needed with forscan.

I am having the adblue system mapped out, however it needs to be able to drive to the tuner to be done!

I know very little about these systems, but have you tried an extended hard drive? Maybe things just need to clear out by driving.

He says that the truck won't start.

From your description, it sounds like the problem is in the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) system. Can you inspect or replace the DPF filter? Is there power to the DEF (adblue) heater? Even if the ambient temperature is warm enough, that heater may need power to allow the engine to start. I'm way out of my depth here just going on limited knowledge from semi truck diesels; we don't have diesel Rangers in North America.
You may have to have it towed to the shop where the work will be done. Good luck!🙂

I am thinking the heater circuit is open or shorted so wiring issue or the heater itself
Focus on the P20BA code as that is the one that most likely preventing the crank (start) signal

I do not have the wiring diagrams for it, but check power & ground and the heater itself (resistance)

Yeah the issue with checking the heater is the fact there are 7 wires going to it, 2 are for the heater the rest are for various sensors, I cant find a diagram anywhere to know which 2 wires im checking. All of them do have continuity though, so I assume heater is working due to that fact!

Definitely check the heater circuit, the Adblue heaters have been a constant PITA for Aussie Ranger and Everest owners. And to add insult to injury they aren't even needed in 99% of our continent.
