Update #2:

Got my courtesy lights working. Prior to wiring this up, someone mentioned that I would find the dome light wire under the rear driver side door sill, and that it was a white wire with a green stripe. Not sure if the 2023's are different, but I tapped into this wire and nothing happened. I tapped a White w/ Brown stripe wire and this worked perfectly. I had to bring both running board wires over to the driver side read door sill to tap into this wire. Could not find the dome light wire under passenger side read door sill. I extended the passenger side running board courtesy light wire over by soldering and heat shrinking the wires together. Used plastic corrugated raceway to route under the frame and zip-tied it until I reached right under the driver side door sill. Drilled a hole through and pulled the wires in and then sealed so water could not make its way inside. Running board lights work like a charm now! Thanks everyone for all of your input. If anyone has any questions or wants to know how I wired everything up, feel free to DM and I would be happy to talk you through it.

So trying to search the problem I'm having when installing my RGB Door Sills, an found this post. The intructions that came with the kit says to tapped the White Wire w/ green stripe for power, and Black wire w/ Blue stripe for ground. I located the wires at the driver side rear door sill as per the instructions. I noticed also there are abour two or three wires that are black w/ blue stripe. When I tapped these wires, I get nothing on my RGB Door sills.... My Ranger is a 2022 XLT. Could it be that the wiring color code is different from the instructions that they refrence a 2019 model?

Is the power on?

When specifically, are you wanting them powered - Dome Light (Courtesy) or the Puddle Lights (Side Mirrors)?

The installation instructions says to tap a white wire w/green stripe assuming courtesy dome lights would be the source to power up the RGB LED Door Sill.

Dome light? That would not be very convinient since you'd have to turn on your dome light to light your running board...

I tied mine into the side marker since I always have them on

For Ref: The White/Green Wire the Door Sill (Lights) are tapped into per the instructions are the Puddle Lamp / Cargo Lights so they will (Auto) trigger on anytime the Puddle Lamps or Cargo Lights are on. (Entry/Exit & Door Unlock Request)
and (Manually) with the Cargo Light - Switch

Note: If confused on which (Ground) wire to use - Use (ANY) Black/?-Color Striped wire or use a body ground bolt. It all goes to the same place (Body-Ground)
Just DO NOT confuse this with(?-Color) with a black stripe - BLACK must be the dominate color
This is not a (Module Controlled Ground) for this circuit, so it uses body ground.

The part that makes me go (WTF) is they are having you blindly tap into a circuit for power with so many colored wires that are close. Stupid in my opinion, but since I have not visually looked at the exposed wires in the instructions, I can only use my logical sense and truly find the circuit via the connectors and it's going to be C275 Pin # 4, and it's located under the Driver's side kick panel, I would have to pull the panel and take a pic and identify all the connectors.
Which I planned on doing anyway as the connector location diagrams in the manual are not truly accurate or detailed enough for me to say - it's just right there or we can move forward and tap the connector wire off of the BCM C2280F Pin #26.
It's much better to have a confirmed pin location & a visual check of wire/color as a verification of correct wire vs just blindly splicing and or tapping into a wire you have not verified is the correct wire - This is plain (STUPID) instructions to guide an install of a light assembly.
Sorry, I had to RANT some here and it is directly towards the manufacture of the light assemblies.

He has (intertwined) a Door Sill Light Plate install into the Running Board Thread, so Puddle Lamp and or Courtesy Light circuit (Installer preference)
but depending on when you want the (Running Board) lights lit you can also tap the same circuits.

On with Parking Lights or On with Entry/Exit

Played today and did something I have wanting to do and that is get a true connector location in the Kick Panels:

Note: This is for reference of the White/Green wire for the (LIGHTED) Door Sill Install, rather than cut into the harness and play (which is the correct wire?)

LH Kick Panel Locations.jpg

BCM (C2280F - Pin #26) White / Green feeds C275 Pin #4 Below, note there are 2 wires, this is the splice point for power to Feed the RH Puddle Lamp and Cargo Bed Lighting and it feeds C213 - Pin #6

Note the 2 (White / Green wires) C275 Pin #4

The Bottom side of this connector feeds the harness that runs down the LH sill.
I did not open the harness to check if any other (White/Green) wires are in that harness.
It's much safer to verify before you tap or splice any wire.

So, the RH Puddle Lamp wire runs along the dash over to C238 (Similar) connector as C213 then runs into the door

As far as the Ground - there is a perfect spot in the above Pic G222, no tapping or splicing required.
Thats another one that makes me say (WTF) why they have you splice a ground (STUPID)

C275.webp

and C213 Pin #6, this feeds into the door for the LH Puddle Lamp

C213.jpeg

I have verified the circuit is correct with my Power Probe and Wiring Diagrams.
I shot power down the circuit with the probe and the lights came on.

Now I can truly say - it's Just Right There
