Picked up this 2021 Ford Ranger, used with 40,000 miles on it, last year to use for work as an Electrician.
My first priority was security, I have had multiple break-ins in the past with other work trucks. So I tinted the windows, Installed a DECKED drawer system to secure my tools.
Since my rear seat was stuffed with tools and what not, I decided to remove the rear seats and build a platform for Packouts. I used the stock bolt locations for the rear seat belts to bolt down 3/4" plywood that I wrapped in trunk liner. Next I bolted down two packout mounts, and now have a modular packet system where I can store a lot more.
Lastly, up to this point in my build process, I installed a Wolfbox G900 Pro. Not only could I not see out the rear window anymore, but the added security with parking mode, and the benefit of a dash cam, was a win-win-win. I used inspiration from this forum and @Colo_Ranger specifically for the OE mirror mount. I did not want it on top of the other mirror, especially with how big it is. I bought a mirror off eBay from an escape and dismantled it for the mount that attaches to the windshield. The ball end of the mount doesn't fit tight inside the wolf box mount, so like Colo, I used some rubber that I stuffed in to make it tighter. On top of that , I used the "spring" that comes out of the ebay mirror, that keeps the mirror tight. I cut it to fit in the wolfbox mount. The mirror does not move at all unless I want it too, just like stock. Thanks Colo for that.
