I purchased some sway bar links another member had used to replace stock after a lift, mine are clunking like crazy.

Regarding offroading after removing the sway bar links - would this extra articulation possibly cause rubbing in place I have not had rubbing before? With this lift I have not had any rubbing at all even at full articulation/on 3 wheels.

Some friends in a Tacoma group told me the just remove their sway bars entirely and deal with the extra body roll. This to me sounds insane but I don't know if this is actually that dangerous. Is that a horrible idea?

I removed my front sway bar on my subi - I do not recommend removing it if you are everyday driving. when someone cuts you off on the highway and you have to hit the brakes and swerve while doing 75 mph the body roll is pure terror.

I do not plan on removing the sway bar on my ranger.

I removed my sway bar a long time ago and haven't looked back. truck still drives nice. I do notice some extra body roll but have grown to how it fells. I still take highway merge ramps at 65mph without issue. I've swerved at speeds to avoid stuff in the road without any issues as well. I'm lifted on 35s too

No kidding! I wanted to pop the links off over the weekend when I was on trail be realized I didn't have anything to tie the sway bar away from getting in the way of things

What are you running for shocks? I've heard you can tune some to compensate for the lack of sway bars.

When you pop the links off, you don't have to tie down or remove the sway bar. It is held in by bolts to the frame rails and it won't flop down or get in the way of anything. I know with some Toyota's you have to remove the sway bar completely or else it'll flop down and hit stuff, but we don't have that problem with the Ranger. I have quick release sway bar end links and when I pop them off i've had no issues.
