Ive been building my Ranger from scotch for the last year. Everything I've done myself so it's been rewarding. Except when my turbo blew up and somehow got warranty on it even though I have a downpipe, 3' exhaust, BOV, CVfab intercooler, charge pipes, CAI, etc.
So just to tell you I've followed other threads on the ADV fiberglass build ex @Superdannyboy which has been alot of help. Ive had these fenders for little it now but its been cold in Utah and waited until it got warmer.
Ive got the stock fenders off and the entire front apart. Fitting the fiberglass is NOT easy whatsoever. It does not match up so Ive been sanding and trying to get the fenders lined up perfectly to the body which has been a lot of work. Today I will finally bolt the on once I am happy with the fitment... patients is key lol.
Ive also got my 35/12.5 r 17s (34.5 according to BFG's website) installed on the truck which I love!
I do have my long travel Bajakits as well ( Ive had this kit for sometime but again waited for the weather to warm up, also I know this isn't a "Long travel" set up, its more of a mid travel kit.. not sure why Bajakits considers this a LT kit) that will be going on after I get the fenders installed.
I also went head and ordered a fuel neck extension tube from summit along with a coupler. I noticed everyone who has done this kit forgot to extend their fuel neck so I didnt want to make that mistake haha. I will say that looking for information on the diameter of the fuel neck was impossible to find on the internet so I went ahead and did measurements from under the truck of the fuel neck which measured at 1.75 in OD and about 1.45" ID.
I put the spare 35 in the bed of the truck and order a 3 point tire strap from dirt king I'll bolt down in the bed. Not sure if I should mount it to the rear or closer to the cab. I'm leaning closer to the cab? I dont know if it will make a difference tbh.
I'll do my best with documenting this process as it has helped me with my research the last months reading others experience.
