The government is totally right. Keeping drivers awake with a sense of humor is an awful thing. It's much better to lull them to sleep with blandness, so that everyone becomes aware that self-driving cars will prevent accidents caused by sleepy drivers.

It also is satisfying to know that local DOTs have a sense of humor or wit when conveying a safety message, unlike their mass transit-riding bureau-droids in DC. EMB's are distracting, but 10-15 second animated commercial signage is ok?
