Nice looking roof. If I ever have to redo ours, I want to go metal. So many options in metal these days.
It is standing seam with hidden fasteners. Snow and ice grabbed fasteners on old metal roof and tore the metal so updated to standing seam.

Just got home from getting the wifes Ecosport serviced. After write up I went to the showroom to check out the new and improved trucks/suvs. There sat a new F-150 Raptor R. Eyes wandered to the sticker in the windshield. only $188k. Just about had a cat.
188k! that is just clown shoes!

I thought for sure you found the Canadian price or something but, nope, it's a near $30k Mahindra right before my very eyes.

Actually, still a bargain...

How much hail do you get in your area? A few years ago, my parents redid their roof, as did many of their neighbours; fortunately for us, we were in the group that did it after a major hailstorm. Most of those who had done it before the hailstorm had gone with metal for longevity. Not only was the sound of the hail pinging off of the metal roofs drastically amplified inside the house, but most of them had major dents and damage to their roofs as well. We ended up going with a composite shingle material (I forget what, exactly) that could absorb the sound and impact of hail much better than metal, even if it doesn't have the same expected longevity.
We rarely get hail, but I would look at the metal that looks like shingles.

I moved from Texas where pretty much any kind of roof lasts maybe 5-7 years before a hailstorm destroys it to Florida where people are complaining about replacing their 30yr old roofs due to age. I couldn't even comprehend the idea of an 'old' roof as that's not something that's possible back in Texas. lol

A couple weeks ago, we rented 4-seater Polaris side-by-side UTV's for a sand dune and canyon trail ride while on vacation in Utah. Wife and boys loved it - so we asked our tour guide the price for one: $45k!!!!

Almost exactly what I paid for my 23 Lariat FX4 earlier this summer.

Mind. Blown.

Love the sound of hail pinging off of my metal roof. It makes sure I'm awake for the tornado that's following.
