Hi LaBalbe,

With such insolent behavior on today's walk of about a ÂĽ mile, I am not sure if he will be allowed to observe mayhem.... I do not want to give him any ideas...he is already a very defiant and determined tortoise....

Best,
Phil

Welcome to the World of RVing...one of those days.

Well....yesterday was going well until the afternoon. Margie headed to the office to see if her Amazon order had been delivered. I was sitting in my chair outside the RV, enjoying the cool breeze with my favorite Malted beverage... Margie returns with her package and tries to open the RV door, but it would not release. So I get up and try as well...nope....we are faced with a broken door latch and no way to get into the RV. So we start a list of options, Break a window seemed to be the best option but which one? So I decided the driver's side window would be best as it is lower and bigger than the passenger side windows... Then a bit of luck...I forgot to relatch the window from when we first arrived and I was talking to the RV Park owner through the widow, so it was easy to open... So Into the storage hold below the RV floor and retrieve a 4 step ladder. So with ladder in place I stood on the top rung and opened the window and slid the screen forward...the bottom of the window frame was waist high. So with a weak jump, I landed with my waist on the window frame and upper body in the rv over the driver's seat. However, I realized my belt buckle caught on the darn window frame. So stuck half in and half out. I twisted as much as I could clockwise and counterclockwise. The damn belt buckle would not free up, but I noticed that I was a bit further inside the RV. So I yelled at Margie to pull on my shorts and maybe that would free me to fall inside the RV...unfortunately it was working but my briefs were also staying with the shorts...Great... Now with full moon rising, I fell into the driver's seat. My neighbor's howling laughs were not helping one bit. Embarrassed beyond belief, I has Margie to hand me up my shorts and underwear.. Using the indoor handle, I was able to open up the door and Margie, snickering along with the neighbors climbed up the steps and into the RV.

I determined the door striker needed adjustment and got the door operational again... I will likely never live down the episode though as other neighbors in the park learn of this OOPS.

Embarrassingly,
Phil
