You should know by now Mike that clicking on my posts could be costly. lol ? But I can say the towels work great and I'm sure the neck gaiter will come in handy too.

If it's any consolation my own thread got me too. I bought this Mission cooling bucket hat and you can wet it like the towel. I'm not one for baseball caps but we do do a lot of hiking and this should help me cooler. Plus my hair isn't as thick now as it use to be.☹

NO!!!

No sale! I must resist!
=p

I have a 30 year old Tilley hat that's been with me everywhere. This original one is made in Canada with persnicketiness and it's incredibly comfortable and durable ($99).

Those are really nice hats. I saw them in the gift shop when we were in Glacier and then flipped it over and saw the price tag. :surprised: Funny I won't think twice about spend $1,000 replacing the stock tires on my truck but complain about $100 for a good hat. lol

Agreed! I think it was like $29.95 when I bought it and felt expensive then, but it's still going so I guess that's okay.

To tag onto others on this thread, we have those thin, wicking, SPF shirts and pants for kayaking. They do cling to you when wet (sweat or getting flipped over by Cheech) but they do a great job of sun protection and are cooling, if there's a breeze on hot and humid days on the water.

I never thought I'd ever be "oh, the sun, I have to protect myself" but here I am ... =D

I looked at those too, but they don't have my size in the boonie hat--7-5/8", close, but no cigar. Their lack of sizes saved me money, unlike Dave..... :p
