I’ve actually owned one, the suspension is pretty nice, I’ve taken it off-road quite a few times without issue. It really would go places most people wouldn’t think possible. A great hunting vehicle!! I didn’t have the tent.
I had a Montego wagon that dad hand me down...with the rear bench folded down, it was a camper for two...that suspension was like a land yacht...floating on clouds lol...

they have made a overlander edition for the upcoming 4th gen tacoma yes but they didnt start it no
Not really. Fun fact, ever since either Vietnam or Korea(can't remember Wich one it was) it was thanks to the US making huge orders to auto manufacturers in Japan to make Jeeps for the War. Toyota and Nissan were involved for sure(others may have been too but I'm not sure). Thanks to that the two manufacturers were able to build their own versions of the Jeep. For Toyota it was the Land Cruiser. For Nissan it was the Patrol. Both being well built at that.
