Dave, I just don't get it, Your getting this with the both the leveling kit and the General tires. From going from the stock Hankook's to the Tremor General tires cost me @ 0.7 mpg. That was after taking into account the 3% difference in the speedometer. There must be something wrong with my Ranger but it seems to run fine. Or, maybe I need to switch away from the Costco premium gas. It would be a waste of time to take it to Sanderson Ford and complain about the mpg. They will take one look at the Tremor tires and Eibach leveling kit and blame it on both of those.
Jim, I don't get it either. Only thing I can think of is this is just about all highway miles so there's no stop and go short trips which kill the mileage. The true test will be once I'm back home because my normal commute is mostly shorter trips. But for now I'm pretty happy with the highway mileage. You'll have to let us know how yours is when you go down and back to Tucson.

I buy Costco gas pretty much exclusively and get pretty good fuel mileage using the 91 octane. I'd be surprised if that's your problem.
Leveling kit and heavier tires/wheels? Maybe that. Or maybe a lot of stop and go driving in your neck of town?
I usually buy Costco or Sam's premium when I'm home. The dealer filled it with 87 but my last two were premium (91) from Sinclair. Short commutes along with running your AC will kill your mpg. I doubt mine will be this good after we start getting closer to AZ and I have the AC blasting.

I will report back. I'll see if I can get a 10-15 mile stretch where I can cruise at @ 60-65 mph on I-10. It would be interesting to see what the computer says. I have time to do that, but I don't want to get shot at by some road-rage lunatic.

Yeah, I don't know about that...you're dead on about the road rage thing. People are getting more stupider every day it seems. But do try 70-72 ish and I think you'll be surprised at how good it does ya.

I usually don’t pay attention to mpg because work was 6 miles away and then lunch miles yada, yada, yada… mpg sucks… I will be going on a 500 plus mile trek for Memorial Day weekend. It will be interesting the outcome. I have a lead foot on long commutes and I also exercise my 4 WD a lot too..So in the spirit of this concept I will report back. Very mountainous terrain.. I’m the type anything over 17 mpg is good to go..

Heyyy. What are you trying to tease me with these? I just watched the video on their site and the first thing it shows is you need a 10mm socket. o_O:oops:?
Fyi, that’s my Tremor in the video/pics. Great people to work with.

I did take Steve @IdahoRanger up on his advice to stop at Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls, ID. It was a great stop (thanks for recommending it!) and we took a few nice pictures of the waterfall there and stretched our legs a bit before heading into NV.

I used to live in Twin Falls. that area is my favorite part of Ideyho. but when I lived there is was a lot smaller
Thanks but Darn-it! Now I gotta spend more money. :curse:?
first thing I do when I get a car. esp. a new car is order up some redlines. worth their weight in gold

Kill it? how about slaughter it like a mustang going through a crowd. I am getting 15-16 running around here with the AC on. took me a couple of weeks to figure out that was what was going on which is embarrassing but it is what it is. I have two trips coming up one to Alexandria Louisiana(Jul) and another one is a 2500+ mile trip to Jekyll island Georgia (Oct) it will be the real test of my MPG

I was texting with Chris @Chris M while we were stopped getting gas and getting something quick to eat for lunch. I'm ready to leave and Annie's out trying to get this rooster to come out from under the tree so she could get a picture of it. She's such a city girl. lol

It was a nice looking.....?

The site was down so I had to search for alternative Ranger sites. Lo and behold this popped up. I just thought I would share what happens when this site goes down…

Glad you made it home!!!

And We're finally home! Overall it was a really good trip and the weather was great too. We hit a few spotty showers going through ID on Wednesday but they were only 10-15 minute bursts.

I have to say I was very worried MP2 wouldn't be as good as MP1 but so far I'm super happy with it! The suspension is really nice and it's much plusher than the Eibach I had. I really can't wait to take it off road but not sure I'll get a chance until we're away on vacation in a few weeks. The ride and seats are really nice too and it's so nice to have an HVAC system that work right again. I'm still amazed at how good the mileage was seeing as it's still brand new. I added the gas receipts to my Fully app and it shows an average of 23.7 which doesn't include the last leg from Kingman, AZ to here which was another 175 miles and the gauge shows 25.5 as an average mpg. It looks like it's off by about 1.5 mpg by the last 2 entries I did.

Now to add all my accessories and packages that arrived while gone. lol Of course the damper is going on first!

Here's the last leg from Kingman,AZ to Goodyear,AZ averaging 25.5. This whole way I was never under 70, more like 75-80 the whole way and it still ran super smooth and didn't seem to chug fuel which is crazy.

IMG_8704.webp

Total miles from Kingman to here was 175 + 281 miles to E which its 456 miles to E at fill up which I rarely saw on MP1.

IMG_8705.webp

Total trip miles was 1363. Not a bad trip at all and I think it was well worth it not having it shipped and then worrying about potential damage.
