In a pinch a pop up awning works fairly well.
I used one to protect a visiting buddies Avalanche years back. My garage was full of my cars and I looked around to see my awning sitting there. Popped it up and over his truck. He suffered no damage, every other car outside in the vicinity got hit pretty good.

Not an option for me. I have a Mustang and my wife's car in the garage. These days it's even less of an option as my truck is way too tall to fit in my garage.

Poor KIA get no love...I saw one golf ball sized bit bounce in my back yard. Rushed to the Ranger that had no tree cover.
What to do.. looks down at old Army shit in a bucket I need to do something with......
Fuck it. Protect the glass and the aluminum hood!
Three or 4 generations of cammo and the stupid mat.
And.. as far as I can tell. No damage.

I remember years ago a female friend was looking at a new car in Dallas. The dealer had a new car that was pretty beat up from hail damage. The dealer said he would make her a deal and knock of $2K because of hail damage. She was smart enough to walk away.

I personally feel the 1 piece shaft is a placebo effect. But we won't get into that here.

I got hit last night while the truck was parked at work.
Hood, roof, and ridge of door under window damage.
Haven't taken pictures yet. Just pulled in the garage and parked it. It should be fixable with PDR.
Aluminum fenders held up better than I expected.

Claim is in. They've got a drive through adjusting spot I've got an appointment for on Monday.
I'll be riding a computer wiping ass at work tonight so I'll hit my bodyshop up in the morning and get an estimate and get on the schedule.
Kind of glad the hail got my windshield too as I don't carry windshield coverage on my policy.
