Well, I guess I am joining the "Bed Cap" crowd here sometime soon, or at least by the middle of next month hopefully. I ordered an ARE V Series cap today, so I don't have to crawl my old fanny under the tri-fold soft bed cover every time I want to get something out of my big toolbox, that is in the front of the truck bed. The ARE looks like a good cap for the money. About $1,980.00 installed (before tax) with a sliding window that fits up against the sliding rear window of the back of the truck. Plus, a bit more security for the stuff in the bed and a place for Sasha & Socks (my dogs) to ride safely in. Anyone else have an ARE V series bed cap on your Ranger and if so, how do you like it?
Thanks!
Killer deal. COL made my ARE cap(granted some add ons) $3300-3500 after tax. That was back a year and a half ago too. I love my ARE topper.

Update: 4 years later and ARE V Series is still looking good and holding up well, no issues whatsoever.

Sick! my bars are definitely going to be sticking out some then. I bought 60" Yakima HD Bars. they are as wide as the walls on the bed so it won't stick out past the mirrors at least.

Where did you get the internal skeleton for the canopy?

edit: looks like it comes with that canopy. Jelly

Yes that’s the HD part of the canopy, it comes that way.
