Not a lot of new news but it's looking like the 2.3 will be the engine here in the states. The Ranger Raptor will be getting the 3.0 V6 and should follow the same specs as the Bronco Raptor with 418 HP/440 TQ. The good news the Aussie Ranger has aced safety testing and has a 5 star rating from the New Car Assessment Program. Production is still expected to start in May of this year.

In terms of styling, the U.S.-spec pickup will largely mimic the mid-sizer that’s already launched in other parts of the world, with a new, edgier design and familiar C-clamp headlights.

The same goes for inside the cabin, where the next-gen Ranger features a standard 10.1-inch or optional 12-inch infotainment screen, Sync 4 (rather than Sync 3, as is the case with the current model), and a digital instrument cluster in other parts of the world, also ditching its traditional owner’s manual for a digital version. The new Ranger continues to ride on the Ford T6 platform shared with the sixth-generation Ford Bronco – though it has received some updates. It’s unclear what engines might be available in the 2024 Ford Ranger at this time, but it’s likely that the new pickup will retain the turbocharged Ford 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost as its base powerplant.

Meanwhile, the high-performance Ford Ranger Raptor will also be making its debut in the U.S. this year as well, most likely getting the more powerful Australian version of the twin-turbocharged Ford 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine, which produces 392 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, while the European variant makes substantially less – 284 horsepower and 362 pound-feet. It’s also possible that the American Ranger Raptor may wind up with a version of that same engine that’s closer to the 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet generated in the Ford Bronco Raptor, too.

Over 100 less hp for European models? Ouch.
What are the Euro engine specs? I know they have a diesel version but I'm not aware of the other engines and specs.

To bad they didn't offer the 2.7 V6 as an option in the 6G. ?

I am not too sure but above stated, "while the European variant makes substantially less – 284 horsepower and 362 pound-feet". Kind of instested what engine that might be. Hard to think its just a detuned vesion of their 3.0L V6 EcoBoost.

 Don't mind me I was multi-tasking and read your previous post wrong. I took it as the standard Euro engine was 100 HP more than ours.

Yes the 3.0 is going to make some really good power and will be even crazier with a tune.

I've read some post on B6G from those who have the 3.0 in the Bronco Raptor. They say it's crazy fast and has very little to no lag. I know it's not the most practical choice but I'm on my dealers list for a Raptor. This will of course all change if the pricing comes out stupid expensive but I'm hoping it's somewhat reasonable.

Seeing as production is starting in May the order banks should be opening up in the next couple months. Then they'll need a few weeks for the changeover at MAP.

2.7 would be nice.
Bring back the hand brake as opposed to that push button parking brake.
When is that PHEV, 24, 25 or 27?

I'm figuring it to be but one can hope. I guess I could delete my account here and that should save me enough money for the Raptor. ?

That's all well and good. But can a fella just get a 2023 already?
Not to throw salt in the wound but hopefully it gets build soon. They'll be shutting MAP down come spring for the change over and it'll end up being a '24 MY.:angry:
