Hey all, been a while since I posted, but been enjoying my Ranger thoroughly. Has about 5k on the odo now, and the only issues I have had were some panel alignment corrected free of charge, and needing to get my driveline shimmed under the TSB (mine was out at 7.2*, now sits at 5.9*).

Now that I've worked the willies out, I'm moving onto new rims and tires. The 18" alloys with thin tires are awful here in pothole-laden RI.

I got my hands on a set of the "spare" 17x7.5 rims and I am interested in mounting some ATs on them. After lurking on many tire threads here and websites, I think the Falken Wildpeaks may be the best fit for my budget and wants.

TL;DR - I am thinking I want to get Falken Wildpeaks for a set of 17x7.5 steel wheels. I have a stock ride height, with stock (non-FX4) suspension.

Can someone help me determine the largest tire I can fit without rubbing anything or needing to remove anything?

Truck is a '21 STX 4x4 for reference.

Thank you!!

Sounds like you got some Toyota steelies. They're 7.5 by 16 or 17'. and gives you a 1" more offset too.
Ford steel wheels are 8". Mine is a 16" and I put a 265/75-16 Wildpeak AT3W for the spare. Same size diameter as my 265/70-17 Falken's on Sport wheels.
You should be good with those sizes. Anymore and will rub on stock level.

Sorry I should have clarified. Mine are the Ford "spare" steel rims that are 17x7.5. I think the offset is the same as the 16" steel wheel, but I could be wrong

It seems like 265/70 is the most common size I keep seeing people come up with, so I think that's probably what I'm going to end up getting

I ran 265/75r16 stock.
You should be fine with 265/70r17.

The stock spare steel rim on my Tremor is a 17 x 7.5 with a 265/70R17 General Grabber ATX on it. Rim part number on the rim is KB3C-1015-EA. Same as what’s on Bronco Black Diamond I believe.
