When you get a chance could you see if a magnet sticks to the front fenders. I have heard the aluminum front fenders have been swapped to steel for 2022. I'm just curious if this is the case. Thanks!
@livetoski78 do yourself a favor and deactivate auto stop, activate Bambi mode, and activate fog lights come on while turning all using forscan. I've had my 22 with 400 miles on it and used forscan. Super easy to do.

Yep, definitely steel. Another corner cut. At least the hood is still aluminum!

I got an autostop deactivator and just need to install it. I already have the pre-collision assist (I'm assuming that's "Bambi mode") and I always drive with my lights on (including the fog lights). I have an ELM327 bluetooth unit. I've been using "Car Scanner" to read boost, MAP, A/F ratio, and a slew of other things. I see there is ForScan Viewer and ForScan Lite in the iPhone App store. I'm guessing neither of those will change settings?

So, I downloaded FORScan to my laptop. After it failing to connect, I started reading the site and it looks like they're basically not supporting ELM327 units anymore... .

Just got by 2022 lariat Friday. I don’t see any mounts to attach the hood struts to. Unless I’m looking in the wrong places. Any pictures of the mounts?

I’ll double check in the morning but think there are no brackets or ball connectors.
It might be likely (and I already posted this awhile back) that early 2022s still have the hood balls and the brackets on the fenders because they were using up fenders and hoods stamped earlier. Later builds most likely will have the hardware deleted because why would they spend the money to put that hardware on without the struts? The hood might be an easy fix to add the balls. The fenders? Well those mounts were welded on. If the mounting hardware isn’t there personally I don’t think it worth the time to add struts. Just my opinion of course. I guess we’ll have to see how the ones built later show up.

To me it just makes sense they would no longer install the mounts once they ran out of fenders and hoods with them pre-installed. If the hood is still threaded for a mount that might not be too hard to install, but if the later models are like my 2019 the fender mount is part of the fender and welded in place. Maybe you can get that as a separate part, but is it really worth drilling into the back of the fender to try and mount it? Not likely to be a very solid mount and ugly. The little I need to open my hood the prop rod is fine.

I'd say hold onto the struts until you get yours and know for sure. If there are no mounts I am sure you can easily sell them to someone who can use them.

Oh I noticed another "decontent" on your interior pictures. The little 12v powerpoint doors used to be trimmed in chrome to match the volume and tune buttons. Now they are just plain little black doors. It's not a major thing, but Ford is getting serious about saving a few pennies here and there. It makes me wonder if the next gen model is really going to be that much nicer.
Actually like that they removed the chrome trim ring. Made them look like they were dials, which obviously they are not. My opinion. I actually like the old cigarette lighter/plugs. At least they were functional as a lighter and a cap. Man, am I dating myself

I don't mind the prop rods. Haven't had too many vehicles in the last twenty years that had the struts under the hood, so I don't miss them. I actually had a couple of hatchbacks with the struts. I was actually surprised they both had issues with the struts going out and needing replacement. I guess a mini shock like a larger shock eventually goes out?? It's like the damper debate here, if you never got used to one, you really don't miss it as well.
I'm old school to tech and features. Keep it simple stupid (KISS). Heck, the olderrrrrr cars used coiled springs under the hoods. ;)

Those will feel great when you ram your skull into em'.
Mine will have strut’s attached. That’s if they’re there to attach to. Otherwise I’ll wear my bike helmet.

Struts but no mounting hardware? I wouldn't put it past ford to do that...
