I would get the trailer package. Everything else you can get later and most likely a little cheaper. Plus, it gives us a chance to help you spend more of your money?
I know that road lmao

You don't own a Jeep and NOT spend money ?

The trailer package from the factory has the hitch integrated into the bumper. It maintains more ground clearance than an after market one will.

What you are thinking about is pretty much the truck I have: XLT, Tremor, Tow Package, Remote Start, Keyless Entry. The seats in the Tremor looked pretty good, but were pretty hot and sticky and the Princess wasn't comfortable, so I bought some seat covers. At least the originals will be in good shape when I sell.

Like you, I wish the XLT had LED headlamps. And I also miss the upgraded sound system in the Lariat, but that's it. Wasn't worth the cost to me.

I only have 7500 miles on it but have no regrets. I would buy the exact same truck today.

From what I've read you can use the '21 B&P for the '22's. Save the pdf and the dealer can quote you from that. I'm not sure when to expect the '22 B&P but you'd think it would've been out by now.
If history is any indication I expect the '22 B/P to show up the 1st quarter of '23. :)

Hi all, new to the forum and Ford. I've been a Wrangler owner for nearly 10 years. Sold my Jeep 2 months ago and looking to get into a mid-size truck.

I'm leaning towards: Ranger XLT Tremor.

With the news about the redesign coming in the next year or so, is it worth to wait? Not in a position to wait but could. I'm sure we'll see a price increase as we see every year and what about the 1st model bugs?

So, going with a 2021. Anything to be aware of, pros or cons? Try to find one on a lot or order and wait 4 months?

Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!
Don't wait; there's no discernable difference between 21 and 22 so if you can find a 21, grab it up. And the earliest we'll see 6G trucks is late 2023, and those will likely have production hiccups. That's a long wait.

I own a Lariat Tremor. It's great. But if you have the ability, tools, and time, you can build a more capable truck for less by getting a standard 4x4 and ordering the locker or buying a FX4, and then in both cases, upgrading the suspension.

Get the tow package but skip the spray liner and get that aftermarket; I have the Ford factory spray liner but it's pretty sub-par when comparing to the big brands of aftermarket.

I have the 2021 Lariat Tremor and I just got "lucky" as that was what was on the lot at the time......but in hindsight, I'm super glad I went with the Lariat instead of the XLT.....I love the LED headlights and the pushbutton start and touch feature to lock and unlock the doors. The B&O stereo is pretty darn good for a factory upgraded system.......but is it worth the extra $$ over the XLT.....hmmmm.....only you can answer that. For me, I had to have LED headlights and the pushbutton start......I had a 2019 Raptor that was the cheapest model available (Supercab) and the key fob was lame on such an expensive truck.

I just Purchased my 21 Lariat Tremor in December. Prior to that I drove a 2018 Jeep JLU. Prior to that a 2011 Jeep JK. Prior to that a 1993 Jeep YJ. So the jump to a truck was a major change! My sister even has a Gladiator and it wasn't really what I wanted at the end of the day. Really a surprise to me from driving Jeeps since I was 15.

The Lariat edition is great. Love the LED package, push button start, heated seats, etc. The only gripe I have is the dash cluster is a little lame with the dual digital displays but I think I can learn to ignore it over time. I think the updated style with the tremor package outweighs a non-tremor Ranger imo. I probably would not have made the jump from my JLU to the Ranger if it wasn't for that package.

May be tough finding exactly what I want with a 21 so I figured, order (sounds like it'll be a 22) and avoid a ton of dealer BS with pricing and all.

Good to know about tow package as well as spray in bedliner. Probably same can be said about the tonneau cover I'm sure.

I have a Gator SFX cover (read: cheap). It works fine - needed some modifications to seal completely but was $250. Others can speak to the factory covers quality - but like most accessories, you can buy the name brand for less than Ford's version (usually).

2012 JKU here. Sold it 2 months ago. Put alot of time and cash into it. Not a fan of the Gladiator actually. Maybe 1 day I'll go back and get a TJ to wheel as a spare vehicle but right now, a truck is needed.

The Tremor package is what really has me. It's sharp and doesn't break the bank.

As far as XLT and Lariat, it's hard for me to make the bump for those features.

I appreciate the tip. I'll leave it off and research when I cross that bridge. Thanks!

Only reason why those features were a MUST on my end was the JLU was fully loaded. I found it really satisfying to have the keys in my pocket and be able to push a button and drive off. Also, after spending big money on aftermarket LED headlights on the JK the OEM LED headlights on the JLU and Tremor are welcomed to be grouped in my monthly payments lol.

Now that I have a general idea of what I'll do, the next head scratcher is the color ?

Torn between: Carbonized Gray, Rapid Red, and Velocity Blue. I'd even consider Race Red as well.

Race Red is what the cool kids are getting. At least that's what I told myself when I ordered it and the salesperson agreed!
