Anyone with an aftermarket bumper had any issues with the parking sensors going thinking that something is in front of them? I installed the westin pro mod bumper and the two center sensors work fine, the two outer sensors keep going off though.

I know I can just disable them but I use them when parking in my garage since it's just deep enough to fit the ranger in.

Even with stock bumpers I have a couple corner sensors that randomly alert that something is there when there isn't. It's possible that Ford has the sensitivity up fairly high with those zones and they are detecting the bumper itself when the sensors are active. You can try removing and reinstalling them. It is possible that the sensors may need to be clocked in a specific orientation to work properly and not give false alerts.

Wonder if there is a calibration mode/test that needs to be run. I know the forward looking camera requires a recalibration when the windshield is replaced.

Doesn't look like it..

Ford/Lincoln does not have a calibration procedure for these sensors. However, there are operation checks identified for when these sensors are removed or replaced. The operation check varies depending on the type of parking sensor.

Ford has an azimuth and elevation check detailed out in the Ranger service manual, but no calibration. It looks like there are PIDs to display the approximate distance that each sensor is detecting an object. I wonder if since the center of the Westin bumper protrudes forward, and two of the sensors are fairly close to the side of that protrusion that it is seeing the bumper itself?

This is my personal hunch.

Not sure if there is a way to mitigate it at all.
