Scheduling emails?

Does Ford send emails for when your Ranger gets scheduled and goes into productions? I know with the Bronco, Ford usually sends emails on Thursday for scheduling. I was wondering if they did the same for the Ranger?

Don't know what is going on these days with all the parts shortage craziness but for the Fords I have ordered in the past I never got an email from Ford regarding the status.

My last factory order was for my 17 Mustang. I sat with the salesman and the person that enters orders and we entered the order. Almost immediately a confirmation came back for review of what was ordered. We looked it over and confirmed it was correct. That was on a Tuesday, on Thursday the salesman called me to say the car was scheduled and gave me the VIN. Form that point on I could go to the Ford tracking web site and track the status via the VIN but never got any kind of email.

Same experience; during the 6 month wait for mine, not a single email from Ford. Website tracker (for me) was vague but for the most part accurate - maybe a day or two behind reality.

Dave, sadly it's not the same Ford we knew back then. The entire country is in a mess right now, and Ford followed right along with it.

As I noted above with all the Fords I have done factory orders on I have never gotten an email directly from Ford regarding an order.

I have always gotten the VIN from the dealer and usually only after I call them.

No sir, I called my salesguy. I ask him to contact me when it came through, but he's a fleet manager and quite busy. So, I knew that would be a long shot.

Ordered it on September 29th. Got the confirmation email that evening. Got the scheduling/VIN email on December 9th. Build week of February 14th.

Yes - I ordered on 9/28 and got an initial email then a follow up a month later with the VIN.
