Highlights:
  • Moderate, Low-Drone Exhaust Note
  • 4" Black Chrome Dual Tips
  • 304 Stainless Steel

  • Twin Side Exit Design
Awesome Sound with Almost No Drone
Borla's S-Type Mufflers deliver one of the best combinations of aggressive exhaust tone and performance for 2019-2021 Ford Ranger trucks, giving you just the right amount of sound. The S-Type is geared at matching your truck's tough looks with an equally impressive exhaust tone that is guaranteed to turn heads without going overboard. Borla's S-Type Ranger Cat-Back kit bolts right into place of your factory cat-back system and produces a deep, throaty roar that you'll instantly notice the second you hit the gas, while only giving off a minimal rumble at idle. The Borla S-Type is the perfect solution for anyone looking for a great sound and extra performance without blowing out their eardrums or making enemies with the neighbors. High-Quality Stainless Steel
The Cat-Back Exhaust System is built around Borla's famous S-Type muffler that was designed for excellent sound as well as minimal drone at lower RPM levels. The S-Type muffler uses a straight-through design and multi-core technology to give your Ranger improved sound. The S-Type comes topped off with 4" dual, round, angle-cut exhaust tips finished in black chrome that exit behind the rear passenger wheel with the Borla logo and a polished finish. The system's tough T-304 stainless steel outperforms T-400 industry knockoffs that use 409 stainless steel.
System Features:
  • S-Type Muffler
  • Single 2.75" 304 Stainless Steel Tubing to 2.25"
  • 4" Black Chrome Dual Side Exiting Tips
  • Kit includes mounting hardware and installation instructions

Fitment: 2019-2021 Ford Ranger 2.3L Ecoboost.

Cleaning Tip: It is advised to not use Borla Stainless Steel Polish on the black chrome tips. Instead, clean the tips with hot water and a microfiber cloth.

Warranty Info: BORLA backs their S-Type exhaust systems with a Million-Mile Warranty.

I would prefer a straight rear exit. That last 90 degree turn would in my opinion act like a slight exhaust brake. Like how a jet airplane diverts exhaust to brake on landing.

I would say that any exhaust velocity lost with a side exit setup would be pretty small. As for jet engines, the thrust reversers on most modern designs actually divert fan / bypass airflow, not tailpipe gasses.

So no concern for the 5 other turns the exhaust has to make up stream, just that last one hun lol.

I have the same exhaust but it's chrome tail caps. I do love the sound too. Not too much but sounds good. That was my first mod on my Ranger. :like:

That's the turn that exits to the outside, so yeah.
