Hi All-
After looking at everything on this forum, I’m pretty set on the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. However, in the stock size they only come with the raised white lettering. This would be a change from the black stock Bridgestones that are on there now. Does anybody have a picture of what that looks like?
I feel like flipping the tire with the white in would still be too visible under the truck on the opposite side.

Also, is there a market for used tires (4000 miles)? Try and sell them to a local shop or Craigslist? Anybody have any luck with that?

Thanks,
Jared
You have a can of black spray paint?

Got the Coopers installed at Discount Tire. Went white out and I’m happy with the decision, although they would look good black out as well. I will say that the tires look better in person than in pics. They filled them to 35 psi, which may be too much, but they ride great. I will experiment with 32 and 30 (which is where I was running the Hankooks). The steering feels heavier at slow speed, either due to the weight, or tread design, or both. They feel softer over small bumps than the Hankooks. They may be ever so slightly louder than the Hankooks, but its an insignificant difference. I will have the Ranger up to the cabin this weekend to test them on dirt/gravel. All considered, initial impressions are very good.

I have sold quite a few tires on Craigslist, but most of them were mounted on wheels (mostly BMW) that were the primary product. I have also sold used tires to a local shop that deals in lower-tier brands like Mastercraft and Hercules. Plenty of folks at the lower end of the market are happy to buy used tires, especially when they need to pass the annual state safety inspection.

Jared,

My KO2's are black side out and the white lettering is hardly noticeable (might be only a slight bit more noticeable if you have a lift) unless you are close to the ground or have the truck on a lift. I was raised old school and then white walls (they were solid and 3-4" wide) were the only way to go. Then black out became popular and was a welcome change which I liked. I have not had lettering out for many moons and think it would be a cool change but my K02's came black out and balanced so didn't want to go to the trouble of flipping. If the tires ever need removing will put the white lettering out.

Attached is a photo taken underneath when painting my tailpipe. Was kneeling for the shot and the lettering is hardly noticeable.

Jared,
I sold my stock Ford OEM Bridgestone Dueler AT's (255/65/17) Tires, wheels and spare in June on Facebook for $450 (advertised for $550) on the same day that I listed the ad. Pristine condition with 2906 miles. But didn't get any hits on Craigslist or Offerup after listing them for several weeks. Not sure if it was a good market then or that I was just fortunate?

I'm also sitting on a set with less than 100 miles...I think in a few years when the current owners start needing replacement will be better timing...

Sid,
Hopefully, you can get rid of them soon without too much problem!

I corrected the error in my post that said I sold them on Craigslist but actually they were sold on Facebook. It was on Craigslist and Offerup that I didn't get any hits after two weeks of being listed :)

I have Cooper AT# XLT tires on my F150. I love them. They look nice and handle very well. Off road tire w/out the off road noise on the hwy. I will miss them when I trade the F150 in for my Tremor in a month.
