Great shots Bryan!
Thanks, Terry. The hummingbirds love that plant, so I get lots of opportunities to fail at photography each year

Looks like mini white tails.. Some other species?

Wikipedia noted "White-tailed deer from the tropics and the Florida Keys are markedly smaller-bodied than temperate populations, averaging 35 to 50 kg (77 to 110 lb)." but I guess Idaho does not count as tropics, looks to be more like south-mid Sweden.

Oh.. and the history of Finnish 100,000 head white tail deer population:

We have white tail and mule deer but I have a hard time with the differences.

I cracked it! (or read it from a book).

Idaho has white-tail subspecies O.v. ochrourus while Minnesota has largest subspecies O.v. boreali. Finnish one's descent from Minnesota subspecies and thus seem to be somewhat larger.

Mule deer would be still a bit bigger, and our indigenous species "roe deer" would be smaller.
