How is everyone tracking their order and build? Yesterday I was finally able to get a VIN and order number so I am now tracking on a Ford webpage but seem to be missing some of the info folks have shared about build timelines, factory location, etc.

Here is all I see:

Once the VIN is assigned you should also have gotten a "build week" meaning that sometime that week your truck should be built. It isn't cast in stone but a good benchmark. Once that date gets closer, you will get a build date and your window sticker will appear. It takes about 24 hours (approx 3 days) to complete the final assembly of your truck and shipping time varies depending on where you are in the country.

The trucks are only built at one plant - Michigan Assembly (MAP) in Wayne, MI.

Thanks for the response. My dealer did tell me the build week is August 9. However, I am wondering if that info is found anyplace other than repeatedly calling the dealer for updates? I seem to recall seeing some posters sharing spreadsheets with order and shipping details, including what appeared to be reporting from a train passing various waypoints. Just curious if some other info sources are available but just not widely shared?

As far as I know the only thing available to "non insiders" is the tracking site, which tells you when it goes into production, when it is done, when it ships and when it is finally delivered to your dealer, but not a whole lot of other details.

The sheet with the train waypoints was probably mine. When I ordered mine we had a guy who worked at an F-150 plant and he was gracious enough to track it for me and send me the whole list after it got delivered. But that isn't available to anyone outside of Ford. I'm pretty sure your dealer could look that up if they wanted to however.

mine has a scheduled date on the line of 8/16 AM. I guess our trucks might be related.
the big difference is I ordered 6/21 :).
First I was calling the toll free number from the ford website. With with my order number and my VIN I was able to get some info. I keep hitting on the same lady who will tell all kinds of data with dates, etc, but sometimes I hit on others who (pretend?) to know very little. But the dealer has the most info. My salesman is very busy trying to sell and I don't want to bother with frequent calls. And I understand this as he needs to sell to earn, not a problem.

in 2018 when I ordered a Ram, the saleslady was very good about this, every morning she would log in and check her orders than send me a picture. I was able to track through the build as well as the railroad with her (It came from mexico and we could track both sides of the border).
My current dealer I expect to get a call "its here". (and that will not be too soon as the jeep Liberty acts like its struggling towing my 3000 boat every weekend 15 miles RT 2x per weekend).

Ordered 6/15 and just got an 8/9 build week from the dealership. Based on how things went with my Bronco, 3 weeks from build week to delivery week (in Austin TX).

Just something to keep in mine is that the Ford tracking site has been frozen lately. With all the Broncos being built they're having a hard time keeping it updated. This may change by the time yours is built but just keep this in mind if it's stuck "In Production" for a few days or even weeks. Some have actually received theirs and the site never updated. I just read last night they're pumping out 900 units a day at MAP with a 60/40 split of Broncos/Rangers so the line is in full production now. You can also track the transporter shipping through the Jack Cooper site. Just enter your VIN at the top right of the page.

Just a little update: My blend date was 8/12/21. Today Ford updated their tracking page to show "In Production 8/13/21." And it is now showing an "estimated delivery date 9/2/21." I am not sure they can make the delivery that quickly. I am thinking closer to 9/10 to 9/15.

it was down yesterday but back up today.
mine shows WAYNE MI - PLANT and status is PENDING (blend date is now 8/16)

Now I also noticed my dealer has several other truck scheduled for 8/23, sure hope mine don't sit around waiting to share a ride with its brothers and sisters.

How did you find out the dealer has several others scheduled?

search on ford.com for a ranger exactly like your order is outfited, than select find it myself. I have to click "in 40 mile range" so I can see my dealer.

The website will show some trucks that are marked "dealer ordered". click on that truck and view the window sticker. as long as it says dealer orderd the blend date will still be on the top of sticker, but once the truck is delivered the blend date disappears off the sticker.

But there was at least one odd ball that showed blend date of 7/22 and the truck still says dealer ordered. maybe it was held up for some accessory.

I also noticed my window sticker says special order on the bottom and its green where all the dealer stock trucks the sticker is blue.

So I did this cross-reference check and something interesting appeared. First, there is only one other Ranger going to my dealer (dealer ordered) in the near future. There are several with blend dates two days before my build until 10 days after which are going to other dealers within 40 mi of my house. But when I looked at the sticker, all were blue and most said "RAIL" on the bottom whereas my sticker says "CONVOY" Only 3 or 4 said convoy and they don't have a blend date until late this week or next. Now, in theory, they could still end up on the same truck with my Ranger as my estimated delivery date is 9/2. Also, I could easily see a single truck dropping off vehicles at more than one dealership in the metro area. Time will tell.
