The paint right where the body panels meet the frame on the sides where the side steps would be has tons of drippy runny paint and jagged edges is this common with most peoples rangers? Doesn't bother me a ton, just might have to get rock sliders to cover them up and have the protection as the secondary benefit haha

That’s supposed to be there if it is what I am thinking? It’s like a rock guard or something

I'll get back with some pictures in daylight in a few hours it seems extra bad quality control, not exactly what you have pictured there it's 100% bad painting and runs that dried I believe.

The lower part of my Ranger has a "Textured" paint as well - I'm guessing as a rock guard as well. I think it's supposed to be that way as it's uniform along the whole bottom of the doors, panels, etc.

Yes that picture shows the part I'm talking about the very bottom jagged edge, yours is alot better than mine I guess it's a common thing though

on the pinch weld? Is that what you're talking about? You should be happy there is extra paint there. Those areas usually are prone to rusting out.

Yeah I took my picture of a black truck in bad light of the rear panel. Mine is the same the whole way. I do have shitty drip and sharp edges but I’m ok with it and I am sure it will wear. With the quality of the paint in general I am happy this part seems more robust.... I’m sort of arguing with myself about trying to get some paint fixed through warranty... I’m sure my raptor grille and tailgate letters and damper and Mishimoto air intake will void my warranty for paint some how....

unrelated, I have noticed on my driver side trim piece it’s got a big gap compared to the passenger. I get a weird whistling noise at highway speeds. I thought was my mud flaps till I saw a post about the gap and noticed it myself... sorry if pics are hard to tell

Maybe loose clips or something might just have to press it in or check if a bolt came loose on those trim pieces, and go get the 30$ replacement side markers they are night and day better looking and just pop right in.

The factory can get away with some crazy shit sometimes. You let some little imperfection like we see here come out of a Collision shop right after a repair and people loose their damn minds.

I ordered them, but I think we might have some asinine law about having reflective surfaces on the side of vehicles in Ontario and since the headlights don’t have them built in.... theoretically here you cant have smoked tail lights either but everyone does it.... or so I am led to believe
