Just installed mine this past weekend. Can't recommend these enough! One of the best purchases I've made for the Ranger (after the tailgate damper ofc). I got some more details in my review on the BuiltRight which should be up soon
Looks fantastic, thanks for sharing!

Please could you give some details about that power outlet and these red recovery boards?

Haha I had to make do with hand tools until I get access to some power tools. Just note that if you don't clear the entire enclosure of the power outlet it will push the rack outward. And then the holes for the rear tie-down won't align with holes in the rack. I reached out to the guys over at BuiltRight and they said that they would honor the warranty if I made the cutout for the bed power as long as I reapply powder coat to the cut steel.

As for the recovery boards, they're just some of the generic Chinese ones off of Amazon. I think mine are the FieryRed brand. They're not the best but they do the trick.

Thank you for all these details! I have more questions unfortunately :)

I’m very interested in the outlet itself; any link?
This is the one thing I saw on the Tacoma I went test-driving that I wish we had (that and the sunroof).

I will likely be doing the same as you did. Should probably get in touch with BuiltRight and get the same agreement in writing. I have no idea what’s involved with powder coating and will have to research.

I see. Lots of these Chinese boards seem to break easily; any experience with these that would lead you to believe they’re a bit better than others?

The power outlet is the 12V DC that comes with the bed utility package. It's alright for having a fridge or something else in the back but the new F-150 onboard power has me real jealous.

The traction board I've only used once and it was to get someone else's Jeep unstuck lol. Haven't had to use them myself yet. I'm guessing the eventual reason for failure for these will probably be the rigidity. Not as flexible as ARB's or Max Trax. FieryRed does have a newer model on Amazon. Slimmer, apparently more flexible, and still around $90.

Thank you my friend!
I don’t see the “Plastic Drop-In Bedliner” that I believe is the other accessory included in the bed utility package, so I assume you bought the outlet separately?

Does anyone have these installed with the wolfhaus power outlet? Any interference??
I’m very glad you brought this up!
I didn’t know about that outlet and would always rather choose the least intrusive option for a mod.

That's right, got rid of the drop-in ASAP and got Line-X. I should also mention that I got my Line-X sprayed over my tie-downs. At the time of installation, I was thinking about having them spray under because I had a feeling I might want to put in a swing case or something else. But being a non-confrontational Gen-Z'er I just let them spray over it. I had to remove the Line-X from the tie-down bolts and it was a pain in the a** to do. Also, the Torx bit had trouble catching the bolt because of leftover material in there. Other than that a spray-in bed liner shouldn't interfere with installing the bedside racks.

I have the OEM spray-in liner (everything was sprayed), and a passenger side swingcase in transit - apparently revealing the screw holes that were sprayed over is going to be a bit of a pain… I also plan to possibly relocate my 2 rear tie-downs to the middle of the bed (since I had only 4) based on how the swingcase fits in there.

Silly question for you guys. I'm going to get just one side so we can add few emergency tools to it like a shovel and pry bar. I was thinking the one side, should be on the right (passenger side)?? And which make? I was thinking Builtright. Let me know your thoughts!!

Not to get to off topic but I've been looking into recovery boards a lot lately and found this video very helpful. Granted they put these through the extreme test but you don't want them to fail when you need them the most, also buy once, cry once. I'm eventually getting the Maxtrax boards below.

Tbh this might be a stretch but maybe driver side? Because you can get to it quicker and if you’re right handed you can reach into the bed more easily?

The Aussies seem to have differing opinions on this topic. Honestly I’m pretty satisfied with the cheaper ones. I’m not using them often enough or hard enough to really worry about them breaking. This topic could definitely merit starting a new thread.

You're right so I started one here. :)

It’s easy for me: the passenger side swing case is currently cheaper (on Amazon), so my BuiltRight will have to be on the left, which makes it faster to access “emergency” tools too (right handed).
