Ok so I want a molle panel for my seat back - there are tons of them out there ranging from like $20/30 up to like a couple hundred bucks. I want one that fits our seats well, and is well made.

Any of you have some installed that you really like? Got any pictures?

I wish these seats had the built in straps like the Broncos.

No ones got a favorite? I may need to start working through them and reporting back I suppose.

I got myself a Chris Kyle seat cover off Amazon and it has a MOLLE back. Seems to function fine. Decent quality for the price.

I can't see the need to carry that much stuff on a daily basis.

Now that "EDC" has become a trend beyond knives and guns I watch videos of people's pocket dumps and am amazed at the amount of crap people carry around all day.

I carry my phone, wallet, key, knife, and a pistol with 2 extra magazines.

My truck carries a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, recovery gear, and strapping for it's "EDC."

What on earth to you plan to put there?

I mean it’s def not THAT big. What’s EDC?

I just want more storage inside for cameras and water bottles and whatnot. There’s a tragic lack of storage in the cab of this thing.

Every day carry. Started as a term in the gun and knife world. Now has morphed into hipster dudes with man buns reviewing which currier bag holds all their electronics and personal grooming items.

Show us some pics when you get one set up.

Yea no that’s not my scene. I liked the straps on the seats of the bronco and wrangler - useful when using stuff on caribiners and whatnot. Wanted to find a way to replicate them.

OK.... so the panel I ordered showed up, and I probably made the right decision by going for the more expensive, metal panel. This thing is built like a tank.

So far - looking like a great, very flexible option for getting all the crap that would usually be floating around up and out of the way.

Metal buckles make it super easy to just pop the whole panel off if you dont need it. Overall I'm impressed by the quality of the thing.

The set of standard panels I ordered have held up fine. The items connected to them would not be used often. First Aid Kit, short-range coms, survival bars, and lighting.

I have zero reason to need a $150 panel. I'm not even sure how a standard 500D panel could get tore up for a company to develop something like a metal panel.

No offense intended, but looks like a solution in search of a problem. (I mean really, COBRA BUCKLES??? lol)

Edit: Also that design leaves way too much gap between the top. You are basically putting your lower body panel items in the legs of your passengers. I mean it looks cool for pictures and all, but you'll realize as soon as a passenger gets in the back (even a young teenager) how its a no-go for practicality. A good panel will be able to tighten down right at the top of the seat. I'm tell you these things as personally learned lessons. The Ranger backseats are not big enough to load the panels down to the brim.

Give me a few Ill get you some pics of mine.

I don’t have any passengers back there but children. And when they’re back there, none of that stuff is likely
Coming along.

granted, I’m a sucker for over engineered shit - but I prefer the rigid panel. I’ve got buddies with the soft ones and I wasn’t thrilled with them - which i by I started the thread.

Why didnt they like them? What are they doing that requires constant tugging and pulling on it?

I dunno guess I don't get it - the panels should basically have emergency items primary and maybe some things like water bottle holders or pockets for some documents (which mine have at the bottom). I am just having a real hard time imaging any scenario, when installed correctly, that could be causing problems.

I spent big money on mine, but I wanted something "semi rigid" as opposed to ballistic nylon clothe. I went with the Grey Man Tactical RMP. I didn't pay the price on the website because I found a pretty good coupon code. https://greymantactical.com/collect...products/vehicleseatbackorganizer-15-25x25rmp

Why did I want rigid or semi-rigid? Sag. I didn't want any sag, and I wanted a tight fit to my seat-back. I've used some pretty good molle gear at work, but have been let down by unsupported corners and items that sagged and got annoying. With the rigid panel, it fits nice and tight to the seat and it's not going anywhere.

It's bit of a pain in the ass to fix molle pouches to, but it works and I like it. Plus, with it fully loaded out, I can still fit my 6'3" fast ass behind it in the back seat.

Here's what I keep on mine:
  • Flashlight
  • GRMS/FRS/Short Wave capable handheld radio
  • Med Kit
  • notepad with pen and pencil
  • Water bottle
  • Winch pull tag, wireless remote, remote wire
  • Gloves
  • multi-tip screwdriver
  • multi-tool
  • hatchet/hammer/saw tool
  • It's got a dump pouch so I can just stash something in it quickly to free my hands as well.
And it's about to get a fire extinguisher.

That is why I don't like the hook on headrest bar designs. Drops it to low and eats up too much real estate . These photos are old (so not much on there), but I try and utilize every space possible. So in my case I have a standard boo-boo FAK mounted on one headrest and a "oh yea I got holes and I am leaking" / Tourniquet FAK on the other. Both use velcro straps I picked up at Walmart so I can mount them sideways and rip them off the bars.

Then I have 2 rows of misc pouches. I leave the bottom half empty as those sewn in pouches work for passengers with water bottles, phones, tablets, etc etc

The bottom strap tucks into the crevice of where the top and bottom front seat cushions meet so don't even see them. The other ones wrap around the head rest bars and are cinched tight vs. "bar hangers" as I call them.

I have had this MOLLE panel for over a year and I really like it. I like it so much, I ordered two more. The only issue I have with them, they are made in Russia and hard to find. I got one off Amazon and the other two off ebay straight from Russia.

I added the pouches as it doesn't come with any.
