Hi.

I have to remove the back seat rest so I can get to a grommet to run some wires from the rear of the truck. Can't for the life of me figure out how to get it out. The bench is easy. Do I lift it up and it pops out? Thanks.

If it's like my 2020 there is a bolt in the hole under the headrest. It has a velcro cover. Remove bolt and pull off the seatback.

Sure enough the bolt is there. Many thanks.

I removed the bolt but the darn backrest doesn't want to come out. One would think that you lift it up and it would clear the bottom to catches as shown in the attached pic. Am I wrong? Thanks.

I was able to get to the grommet from underneath, finally, so I don't have to take the backrest off. It's still a mystery, though, why it wouldn't easily come off.

Thanks to gpsdualsport I think this is where the info came from for me. See post #27. I never had the backs completely out but did get the back tilted enough to remove the headrests. Appears it ain't easy.

Thanks again. I'm glad i could reach the grommet from the back so I can snake the wires through the hole. You'd think removing the seat back would be easy once you know about the bolt on top.
