Street legal. Preferably connected to stock lights. Yellow or amber (whatever is better for snow). Thinking to mount on a grill on top of front bumper. Preferably no drilling or modifications.

Or some which can go into the bumper slots near stock fog lights.

Am I asking too much?
Thanks in advance.

I’m waiting on a set of Baja designs S2 sport in amber.
(Amber is better for fog and snow, imho)
I will post pics when I get them.

I plan on installing mine in the lower bumper.( see pic)
I saw an existing moulding trim clip at these location, so it means theres an existing hole in there already. :)

So these Baja S2 ambers came in today. :D
Had to wait til it stopped raining, lol.

Anyway....
No drilling involved...if you want to use the same lower bumper fascia holes that I showed above. I used M6 x1.0 screws with flange nuts.
I just reached in from the back of the fascia where I removed the oem clips and replaced it with the M6 screw/ nuts.

Heres some pics.

I've been thinking of something similar. It's hard to find SAE compliant lights. I got an email about these from Diode Dynamics. There's both a pod style and a bar style, can come in either fog or driving beam pattern, and either white or yellow/amber color. I currently have a set of dual color LED fogs in the stock housings, and can confirm that the yellow/amber are amazing for snow/fog/otherwise inclement conditions, while white is nice for just having more light facing forward. The stock halogens on my XLT are lackluster in my opinion and want more legal light facing forward for those long winter drives through the deep woods.

Pod Style:

Bar Style:
https://www.diodedynamics.com/stage-series-led-lightbar-kit-for-2019-2020-ford-ranger.html

I currently have a pair of old Warn halogen pod lights, but they only work about half the time now and they're all cracked up. I've been considering upgrading to a set of either (or both) of these to replace them. My current ones just bolt through the slot in the bottom of the grille. No drilling required.

Thanks for the info. Your old once look good. This is where I wanted to mount on first place. But lower bumper looks good too.

I had previously installed a six gang Auxiliary power box with switch, which makes it easier to add accessories.

So when I added the S2 lights, the red 12v + to the circuit I want to use in the box, then neg wire I attached to ground wire on d/s of engine bay near fuse box.

The lights themselves comes with the complete wiring harness from BD.
(complete with fuse and switch)

( i’m still waiting on a few accessories, so still need to cleanup the wiring when done)

I really like the look of my old Warn halogen pods too. They used to be on my Subaru, and they looked good there too. But they just don't cut it anymore. The switch only works half the time, the glass is cracked and one fills with water, and they don't really put out a good amount of light anymore. Really they're only on the truck still because they look cool and make the truck unique and stand out. haha

Thank you for detailed explanation.
Here’s a sample diagram (just in case).
It might come handy if you decide to install an Aux power box.

Knight Ranger, thanks for posting how you installed yours I was looking at the BD squadron kid but don't want 4 lights across. I was just going to buy a pair with some SS bolts and a wire harness and make my own kit.

Just replace your stock ones with the Diaode Dynamic SS3 Max. You will not need an extra set! They are crazy bright! Expensive but worth every dollar!

I too agree with the statement made above by Landis, upgrade your stock fogs to Diode Dynamics. I went with the PRO model in yellow and they are extremely bright. Went camping this weekend, and arrived at the campsite around 11:00pm. My brother said I lit everything up with my foglights the moment I pulled in. I posted a thread on my SS3 Pros a couple months ago with pictures.
