Just got an email for a new Ford Credit Card? Rewards come in the form of Ford rewards points. Anybody else get it? Thoughts on getting it? Seems like some decent perks there, especially for big purchases. For example,0% on large purchase like a set of tires and 10% back in rewards (assuming its through a dealer, 5% from the card, 5% from ford rewards). I'm on the fence whether I want to grab one or not. I'm open to your thoughts.

I guess if you plan on buying a lot of stuff through the dealer it might be beneficial? Buying tires from the dealer you're really not going to get much in savings. You're going to pay a lot more for tires there than you would from say Discount Tire or buying online.

I just use my Capital One card for every purchase and rack up my points on one card which I get 1.5 points for every $1.00 spent. This way I'm not locked in to one reward (Ford) and I can redeem my points for anything I want whether it be auto parts, plane tickets or just a credit to my account for specific purchases.

Might be a good deal for you....I will stick with my Costco Citi Visa.. We buy so much at Costco we get quite a bit of money in their cash back plan!

I had thought about it as well. But I don't buy enough stuff to qualify for the higher points. And I also don't buy enough using my FordPass points to make adding anything to them really worth while. If you do, then maybe it is a good deal for you.

I have credit cards everywhere where they can benefit me ha. For everyday purchases I usually use my amazon card since the benefits are so good, and we do a lot on amazon. Correct me if I'm wrong. Can the points be used towards new vehicle purchase? I thought I read that they could. I know a friend of my dad does that with his GM card. I have another business owner friend that does that with Harley Davidson too. For a business owner, it doesn't take long to rack up for him.

If you are dead certain your next vehicle(s) will be Ford, then might be worthwhile.

The best Credit Card for rewards on the market right now is the Capitol One Freedom series. Use it as ur primary card and u will accrue cash value which would be superior to the points value with ford, and its money.

Good luck. I'm still trying to convince my girlfriend she needs the new Bronco too. She likes my Ranger so I'm hoping once they're out and she drives it she'll like it. ?

You're better than I am then. I want one for myself (manual) to go along with the ranger and my mustang (and jeep, and motorcycle). Honestly I don't know what her problem is haha.

I want one too but I figure if I can convince her she needs one I'll have the best of both worlds...My Ranger and her Bronco. ?

The ford card is superior in a couple categories to other cards is only why I bring it up. I have had the quiksilver since college (1.5% like the freedom). I never use it now. There are a lot of good cards out there today. What really intrigues me about Ford is all the auto related points. 3% on all things auto and dining, which is pretty good. Gas, restaurants, even car insurance. Hell, might be worth it for just my insurance with all the vehicles I won't part with ha.

Dave, tell her like I told the wife. It'll be 2 years for sure before the average person will be able to get a Bronco, and her car will be worn out by them. TBH, it didn't work worth a chit with the wife, but it was fun to try. :)

However, she did say I could get one for myself if I wanted. Damn, I luv that woman harder than a goat can butt a stump. So, I reserved one knowing it will still be 2 years before I will be able to even get a sniff of one. I expect I'll actually be able to get into a Bronco the day before the state takes my license 'cause I'm too cotton pickin' old to drive.
