Who smoke cigars

[LIMITY]

I smoked cigars for a few years. I realized very quickly I was a wuss and needed light, flavored cigars. I was never able to detect subtle hints of chestnut and shoe leather when I smoked. I settled on Backwoods cigars as my go to.

Last year I switched exclusively to smoking a pipe, and I haven't looked back. With pipe tobacco I can really tell the difference between various blends and kinds of tobacco. I'm not an english mixture kind of guy.

My go to cigar is an H Uppmann, Cameroon, Lonsdale, and coffee, with my Romeo y Julietta smoking son, or with friends at BODA Cigar and Pipe Lounge in Greenville, SC. HARD TO find Uppmann Cigars in many shops.

Was unaware of Corona Cigar Company. So, I checked it out. Nice! My go to stogies are HUppmann Vintage Cameroon, Lonsdale or Gurkha Royal Challenge. Can’t find these easily, but BODA Pipe and Cigar Lounge in Greenville, SC, has me covered on Uppmann’s. Come on over as we have a good morning, coffee crowd at ten, when they open. I’m not a daily, however.

I personally prefer cigarillos, they can be stretched for a longer time. I take either Cuban or Dominican cigarillos, others are too dry.

Some of this smaller, known company brands are hand-rolled, according to my “”tobacconist “. I used to carry a run on trips of Fuentes, our other good brands. I bought a case which carries 4 regular sizes. 50x6”.
I smoke less now, but still enjoy the social aspect of the Cigar Lounge, or retrospect time/reading/chatting on the phone/or smoking one with my son in my shop.

I received a humidor with about 20 different cigars as a wedding gift. Six years later, I've smoked maybe five of them.

However with my love of whisky, (ryes and single malts are my favs) I suppose I should partake more often.

You know, I was told that cigars will keep indefintely in a humidor. Not sure how much truth there is to that, but every once in a while I enjoy one and they seem to smoke just fine.

I find I prefer cigars made with Nicaraguan tobacco such as Padron, Perdomo and my current favorite.....Oliva Serie V Melanio.
