Can the crash bars up front be removed by just taking out the two bolts holding them on, or do you have to cut them off.

I've taken all the bars off without cutting. Loosen the bolts on the bumper after removing the black bumper grill trim. Don't remove them, just loosen enough. Then one side at a time, the bumper forward and you'll have just enough room to slide the front bars out. The rear bars can also be removed by removing the lowest wheel trim and pulling it out and back...it'll be tight but will just clear the rear bars to be slid out.

They will not come out just by removing the bolts. You either have to cut them or you can remove the bumper fascia to get at the bumper bolts and you can loosen the bumper bolts and pull out the bumper one side at a time and remove them that way. Do a search as there is more information out there regarding this and removing the fascia piece.

Sounds like it would be easier and faster by cutting them
Not unless you have a plasma cutter...I tried grinder and couldn't find the room to do it right...tried sawsall and that got not where...gave up on both lol...

I cut into the receiver that the crash bars fit into, made the opening bigger so that I only have to take out the bolts to remove the crash bars. In case I want to put the stock ones back in to trade up or whatever.

Yes, the crash bars can be removed without cutting them, I did this a couple of weeks ago, you just have to loosen the front bumper a bit, pretty damn easy to do, but I still see people talking about they can't remove them. The rear bars on mine were a little trickier, you have to pull out the bottom of the fender lip and bend a little metal tab over, and then the bar will slide out :)

That already happened, at least once, on another thread, LOL! I had to remove mine, because of my negative wheel offset, I had less than a 1/2" in between the tires and bars, sitting still in my garage. I would assume this would be much less while moving with traveling suspension, so I removed them!

have a -12 offset on my setup and removed mine. People can stand on their safety soapbox somewhere else
