That second one is me all over!! I know you just stepped into your "gun room" to take that pic. :like:

Finally got my lower painted last night. First time doing it.

Thanks Dave! I used the Testor's Enamel paint. I watched both and a couple more and used a toothpick to apply. Minimal excess paint so cleanup wouldn't be too hard. I didn't use the scraper method. The FIRE is metallic red (going for a deeper "blood" red than bright red) and the logo is metallic copper. Those took the longest to dry. The SAFE and AM-15 are flat paints and dry quickly. Used Non-Acetone nail polish remover. Also used lint free cloths I acquired from work.

There still is a little haze on it, gonna clean it up later today and then fully assemble the lower. I didn't want to do too much at one time.

Still waiting on my upper to ship!! :curse:

Lower all assembled. Wasn't too bad. Took my time. I used a 5 inch machinist vise. Really need to get bench vise.

Hoping the upper ships this week. It is unassembled also.

@Snorebaby ....Hey Doug, I know you're just starting your .223 build but here's a 9mm lower at a really good price. I have one that's similar and it's worked great on both my AR 9mm pistols. This one also has the tension screw so you can adjust any play between the upper and lower.

@AzScorpion Thanks Dave! I can't pull the trigger on it just yet  . Gotta let the dust settle on this build. I will keep an eye on it as it seems to be the normal price for it. Hopefully in a couple weeks I can get started on the 9mm build. I think an 8.5" barrel for it would be great. I also like the idea of a AR15 pistol with a 8.5" barrel. Put the CMMG 22lr conversion in it. Now that would be a fun little gun to shoot!

My upper has a shipping label created for USPS. It is not enroute yet, but it is amazing that it is finally shipping after I had to send an email to the company asking if it ever was gonna be shipped.

I was just throwing it out there seeing as everything is flying off the shelf lately. The AR 9 pistol is fun and I really like my 4" one more than I thought I would. It also makes a great truck gun considering it size and it takes Glock mags which you can get up to 31 rounds. I have 2/ 8.5" ones too and yes they are very fun to shoot.

I just got notice this morning that my Anderson lower finally shipped after 3 weeks. Also got notice that my new Aliengear holster that I ordered 3 weeks ago is now backordered indefinitely. I'm glad I don't need it and have 2 others but these delayed shipping times are getting worse every week.

Dave, which Alien Gear holster did you order? I've been looking at buying one for my G30.

I use Kydex holsters from We The People Holsters. Both inside waistband and outside waistband. They are light, inexpensive, work well, and are comfortable. Oh, they conceal well also. Concealment is not a huge issue for you folks in Arizona though.

Hey Bryan, I have the OWB Cloak Belt holster for my Shield right now and really like it. It's the most concealable OWB they sell. It's really comfortable to carry and has a sweat shield which is needed here. You can also adjust the retention on it which is nice. I've never been able to get comfortable with IWB holsters. I ordered the same one for my Sig P365 xl because I know once I get enough rounds through it I'll end up carrying that one too. At this rate I'll probably have enough rounds through it before it even gets here. lol

I'l have to check them out, there are so many really good holster companies out there now. I use a Kore Essentials tactical gun belt which is very stiff and holds the holster nice and firm.

For now concealment isn't an issue but this state is changing fast and not in a good way! I hate to say it because I do like it here but I'm already looking for another place for my next move.

Gosh! What State is more gun friendly than Arizona? Other than Alaska that is. Maybe Oklahoma and Arkansas. I lived in Oklahoma 1994/1999. Never again.

I know things are changing everywhere. It is sad to see where our Country has gone.

IIRC we were ranked the #1 gun friendly state last year. Now all you see here are license plates from WA and CA everywhere. I would say more than half of my customers are from these two states. I had to get off nextdoor.com because it's disgusting how many people are bragging how they are going to flip AZ blue! I guess they didn't learn their lesson from the place they're escaping from.:headbang:

I hate the cold weather so Alaska is out and so is Oklahoma. I guess AR might be the only good place but for how long? Yes it's sad and very scary the direction things are going.

I could not take the weather in Oklahoma so Arkansas would be a no go for me. That humidity is for the birds.
Conservatives need to make a stand. It’s too late for California but Arizona can be saved if we don’t let it go too far.
I spend a fair amount of time in Arizona and love it. We have seriously considered moving to the country in Arizona. The Salome/Wenden area. I would not move to the city. We live in what passes for “the country” here in South Kalifornikstan.

I agree but they're all moving here. Hmmm maybe I should move there.lol. That's my problem too,I hate humidity! It's really not bad here when it's dry but this is our "monsoon season" so the humidity and dew points rise but not like east coast humidity. I just don't think I could go back to it after living here now but I might have to if it gets crazy here.

I really loved living in the country. When I lived back in MA I built my 2 houses out in the country and LOVED living there. My last one was on 3 acres and the house was set in the middle with about 250' of driveway. At the time there was only a little over 8000 people in that town but everyone was super friendly (yes in MA lol). The main drawback was all the good stores are far away and after doing that for 20 years I wanted to live in a community with everything close by.
