Never used them. Unlike my brother I am done buying guns. I don't think I'll be selling the Kimber anytime soon. Or the Kimber micro 9. Or the Kimber micro 380. And also a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Performance Center 9 m m 2.0 whatever whatever LOL yeah and my AR12 which is a real BOOM machine and my Smith & Wesson MP15 Sport II 5.56/ .223@SubVet ...Tom I got the 2 mags today thank you! ? Did you ever use them they look brand new. lol Keep me in mindifwhen you decide to sell your 4" Kimber. ?
I would stick with .223 as it's lower pressure than 5.56. That's why it is ok to shoot .223 through a 5.56 barrel but NOT the opposite. For everyday range shooting .223 is the perfect round and it's a little cheaper than 5.56. Here's a few good articles I had bookmarked with 2.23 vs 5.56.Never used them. I just found my mp15 was 5.56 and .223. So should I buy 5.56 going forward or stick with the .223 I'm asking you Dave because you seem to know a lot about this stuff.

Thanks for the concern, Dave.@BDoc ...Bryan I hope you're no where near this! Amazing this is really happening here in the USA! ? I'd be surprised if YouTube doesn't delete this video.

Thanks for the info. I have that site in my bookmarks. I will probably just get a nitride for right now. I liked the previous links of chrome vs. non-chrome. I am not gonna do competitions or try for my marksmanship badge. Just want to be good enough to hit a target at 200yds with the oncoming Zombie Apocalypse.@Snorebaby ...Doug here's a couple barrels, chrome lined and Nitride. I don't remember how much they were a few months ago but they're still reasonable to replace if/when needed. Chrome lined is the way to go if you're looking for tight groupings and longevity but there's nothing wrong with Nitride for everyday target shooting.

You'll be able to shoot 200 yards just fine. I haven't taken my AR out in a while but the last time I did we were shooting out 350 yards. Just about all my targets are steel now but I do bring a target stand for paper when we go. I like to do a few handgun mags for accuracy and also when sighting in.Thanks for the info. Glad you live away from there but that's some scary stuff going on. What's worse is that Governor Inslee had NO idea what was going on there? WTF has he been doing it's been all over social media and national news. Thanks for the concern, Dave.
I'll have to admit, I haven't been paying much attention to the news much lately. Until the protests, it was all about COVID-19. Got tired of hearing the same thing day in and day out. THIS took me by surprise. I was just looking at one of the local news station websites to get the info. What's posted in the video you put up is accurate. Can't wait to see how the illustrious hierarchy in Seattle handles this situation...if they do.
Fortunately, we're not near there - live about 40 minutes southeast of Seattle in a different county.
Yah, it's seriously screwed up. Inslee's an idiot...and so is Durkan, the mayor of Seattle. After Trump threatened to handle the situation, she had a news conference and told the media he was blowing it out of proportion and they weren't "terrorists", they were patriots who were just frustrated and wanted societal change...ooookay. I'm frustrated too; maybe I should secede from the state of Washington.Glad you live away from there but that's some scary stuff going on. I haven't turned on the news in weeks either,I usually just look online and read what I chose. I'll watch gun videos on YouTube but then that turns into trouble because then I want to buy something else. lol So far I've been good but I still have my eye on that Kimber 4" 1911 with the CT laser grips. Maybe if there's a round 2 with the stimulus checks I'll get it. ?
I'm in the same boat as he is,mid 50's and eyes could be better. lol I have a really cheap scope I bought on Amazon on one of my 22's. I bought the first one for my pellet gun and it worked out good and I didn't want to spend a lot either just for a 22 and bought the same one. It's showing not available now but the one below is similar to it. If he wants to step up and spend a little more there are several others there for not a lot of money that will be good for a 22. I've never gone out farther than 100 yards with mine but the glass is clear ( not $400 Leopold clear ) but good enough.@AzScorpion , Dave what is a good scope for a Marlin .22 rifle? I have a friend wanting to put one on his rifle to shoot beaver with at his ponds. He is in his mid 50's and has old eyes but doesn't want to spend a fortune on a scope. Probably 150 to 200 yds. He has a $400 Leupold on his deer rifle but thinks it will be overkill for the .22
Thanks Dave. Appreciate it.I'm in the same boat as he is,mid 50's and eyes could be better. lol I have a really cheap scope I bought on Amazon on one of my 22's. Like anything you get what you pay for but there's no recoil on a 22 and there's no reason to spend a lot. I've had mine for almost 2 years and for $25.00 it's held up well. One of the Youtube guys did a review on these Pinty scopes (low budget high value) and had good things to say about it. I'll see if I can find the video and post it.

When she found out it was .22lr she made me put some in our range bag so she could shoot the P938 .22lr when we go to the range. I am hoping to get my Marlin 60 back from my daughters soon so we can shoot it also. Since I have been looking at scopes for my friend, I have decided to buy one for my 60. I got a couple in mind, just gotta decide which one.
