The panic buying for ammo has began too. Almost all the 9mm in brass case is out of stock and I just got an email that PMC 115gr is back in stock but now $20.00 more per case. Idiots and their panic buying is going to drive up the cost like back in "08.

Me too but just a little more. ? They were having some really good prices the past 2 years with some Federal ammo rebates and I was getting it for .03/round. I remember at the gun shows and on Back Page they were selling bricks off .22 for $100 and people were buying it !

 Maybe I should try and sell some toilet paper now.:LOL:

It's stupid. The media hypes everything bad. Instead of just reporting the news as is, they gotta have "experts" that know nothing about the subject to instill fear in the mindless masses. Sensationalism runs rampant in the media. :curse:

It's a good thing I already have 8k rds of .22 and 1250 rds of 9mm. I am good to go for a while. With the LaserHIT dry fire system, I can out wait the frenzy and still get in trigger time.:bandit:

Update on the LaserHIT dry fire system.

Pretty easy to set up, especially if you have a good place to keep the target at the ready. I put about 150 "rounds" downrange within about 30 min. tonight. That was setting up and I was taking my time to figure out my weaknesses. Really good to get used to trigger pull. I have a tendency to pull to the right, jerking the trigger. So I am practicing smooth pull. Toward the end I was getting better, but still need practice. It also makes figuring out how the sights cover the target and if they need adjustment easier. No recoil to cloud your judgement.

My assessment is that it is a good system to practice with. Worth the $99 I paid. I will need to purchase another laser bullet so the wife and I will have our own and won't have to share. That's $55. But that is a decent price for what it would cost in time and real ammo. I can see myself & wife use it 2 or 3 times a week. That 's a lot more than we usually practice. We don't get to the range very often, probably once a month, twice if were lucky.

I will be able to make a full assessment when I can get back to the range and put actual lead downrange. I don't know when that will be but I will post when I do.

A small update to the LaserHIT. I just noticed this morning that the app keeps track of hits on the targets. It says that we have put 1018 rounds "downrange". I bought 1000 rds of 9mm for $150 a couple of weeks ago. Paid $99 for the system. Have yet to use up any of the ammo. Gonna use it some more today saving me even more money. Hopefully the practice will translate to live fire accuracy and make range day a little more enjoyable.

Nice review of this, Doug. I've been looking at it off and on for a couple years now. Sounds like it'll be worth serious consideration, especially since I don't get to the range very often.

Ammo shortage due to the coronavirus?

I have Prime membership with TargetsportsUSA and they are out of just about everything 9mm. except super expensive 9mm, is just about gone online. No 9mm 124 gr Federal and Speer Lawman for the range.
Targetsportsusa did have the 380 and 32acp I use, though. Seem 9mm is a problem except for the expensive types..
I checked with many online ammo sellers and they are out.
I was able to buy Aguila 9mm luger at ClassicFirearms.com for $10.99 a box of 50.

While it's not cheap it's in stock. CCI Blazer 9mm 115grn for $15.00/shipped box of 50. There's 215 boxes as of now.

Dave, thanks but I'm picky. I have enough 9mm for a while. I like 124 gr and If I'm paying $15 a box. it's ammo I want.:)
Ammo prices will be going up according to an email I received and you will if you haven't already from Targetsports. They should have inventory in about 10 days.

I received an email last week that the Blazer 124grn was back in stock, Within a couple hours 99+ cases were gone! So I placed an order for some Wolf 115grn steel case @ $128.00/case and soon after that was gone too. Damn people are creating their own shortages between the ammo, food and TP!

So I just received this email from Target Sports

**Please expect 10-day shipping delay on all orders due to the increase demand.**

We are doing everything we can to ship your order as soon as possible including: implementing a second shift, hiring additional employees and offering overtime to our office staff to keep up with compliance requirements and any customer inquiries. Please note even with these changes, we also have a huge increase in customer email & phone call volume so please bear with us for any delays in response. You can check your order status online at www.TargetSportsUSA.com under My Account.

We are also working closely with all manufacturers to keep products in stock at competitive pricing. Unfortunately, we have been informed that all manufacturers are now shipping product at an increased cost, due to demand. We are doing everything we can to mitigate these costs for our customers while trying to keep as much inventory as we can in stock.

We are thankful for our Prime Members and customers for their patience and understanding during this time! We are doing everything we can to navigate during these difficult times.

Stay Safe!

Sincerely,
Target Sports USA Team

Same email I received.
What happened to you happened to me with 124 gr Sig Sauer on sale at Cabela's for $14 last night. Only 124 gr in stock until I ordered. I then canceled the order.

I don't need a full magazine to stop a bad guy, but I do want more bullets than the bad guy, just in case
