So when did yellow over-take amber in the fog/off-road light market?

The cut off part might have something to do with it. Mine have a very distinct and sharp cutoff.
When.you were describing your lights performance, you talked about the cutoff, I think. It might have been one of your posts that included a picture of the DD lights performance, or it was one Inmay have seen on a YouTube clip, but whichever it was, I was convinced it was the right choice for me.

When I was mulling the options, I also saw a YouTube clip of the difference between the pro and whatever they call the less expensive (half as powerful) lamps. Between the cutoff and the much higher power Pros, it was clear I would get the best of both worlds.

Actually DD does have a true amber hue product in their Stage Series light bars...

Why they don't carry this over to their other products I don't know.
Something that might explain the why, just dawned on me. Maybe DD doesn’t offer the darker Amber in the replacement fog light offerings because they feel it will be less appeal8ng aesthetically to the potential customer base?

I wonder if people started to inquire about the availability of the SS Stage 3 Pro in the darker Amber, they might make it an option?

I might call and inquire. :)

I have an old pair of Hella rectangular fogs that run on 55W halogen bulbs. All glass. They’re definitely yellow and from the 1990’s era.

Mine. They work well in the rain.
