@Trigganometry yes we do for sure. We love hitting state parks, museums, etc.
@Msfitoy Beckley is about 3.5 hours from Charlotte depending on how you drive. @WV_Ranger has offered to give suggestions on things to do and see. I would like to know what he has to say. We definitely want to go back.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I wish someone would have told me when I was younger that getting older takes up so much of your time with Dr. Appointments and doing adult stuff!
So I will give you a list of things to see and try to organize it by the part of the State. It will be in no particular order and the best thing I can recommend is to google or ask for more info and get yourself a map to plot your trip on! WV is a small state but we have a lot of very cool things to see! With that being said this is not then entire list because I am sure there are things I will forget or leave off.

If you or @misfitoy or anyone else have questions about any of these places or need more info I will gladly do what I can. Of the things on this list I have personally been too all of them but 2! It seems like a lot but this is a smaller state. From Beckly to Williamstown which is the OH border is 147 miles and an easy drive!
