Windshield recall

Hi, I just purchased a 2022 Ranger and noticed it has the windshield adhesive recall. Ford told me they will schedule a time to do it when spare windshields come in (supply chain shortages-nothing new) so I’m looking at sometime next year. They don’t want to start the job if they do t have a spare (which I get). My question to those of you who are waiting for the recall, have you noticed any issues with you current windshield? Should I check for anything in-particular? I haven’t had any wind noise and will try to keep an eye out for leaks. Just wanted to see if any others had seen anything negative with their windshields. I’m still waiting for my windshield to get replaced. Anyone else having struggles getting it done? Been to 2 dealers and they give me the run around. Maybe there just isn’t any new windshields out there?

Mine told me that I’m on a list…but may be a number of months. They don’t want to start the replacement of the seal without a spare windshield because they have had some crack when pulling them off. If it cracks then I would be truck-less or paying another company to get the windshield done. Spare windshields from what they said are hard to get due to supply chain issues. At this point Im not really sure I even want to have them do it but feel I should for safety reasons. Im guessing if it was an actual safety concern Ford would allocate windshields to send to the dealers. Ford is making new Rangers, everyday so I’m sure there are windshields they could prioritize to send out if it was really needed. Just my humble thoughts. But from what the dealership told me there is a long list of Ford vehicles they sold that need windshield adhesive replacement and the dealer is just going down the list as spares come in.
