Why won't it stick????

I've been trying to mount a rearview camera monitor on my dashboard and can't get anything to stick! I pre-clean the spot with alcohol and it doesn't help.

Heavy duty velcro...no stick.

GoPro mount adhesive...no stick.

What in the world is in the dashboard plastic that is causing this???

There's petroleum product inherent in plastic dashboards...the only way I got my Ram Mount arm to stay in place was to...drill... ??

Yeah, drilling is not an option. I don't need it mounted on the dash that bad.

I have no problem with stuff sticking to the dash of my Honda Pilot, and am amazed at how even GoPro tape won't stick to the Ranger.

Hi PPat,

Can not say on the 5G, but we used to use Aquanet hairspray before mounting sticky stuff on the Ranger Prototypes. Seemed to work for us...
