Along with the infotainment system stating it's time to shut the car off the adaptive cruise and normal cruise features would not turn on either. This is not the first time it's done some wacky stuff like this so I knew just to drive it as-is. When I arrived home after a 45 min drive in the conditions it was in I shut the car off and started it back up, nothing dead. Don't be surprised, I was prepared... I always carry a battery pack jumper with me because the Ranger likes to keep me on my toes at least monthly. What. a. product. Additionally, some other alert came on as well too related to Advance Trac not being available and as you can see Traction Control was automatically turned off too.

Anyways... I decided to tackle this the next day. Plugged my battery pack and it immediately came back on without having to start the car. I believe just removing the negative terminal and plugging it back in would have suffice as well too.

Any thoughts?

Hi NXD,

Usually this behavior indicates a failing battery.... Time to get it checked and likely replaced.... These AGM batteries appear to be problematic...

best,
Phil
