Swapped a Subaru Outback for a 2023 Ranger because we are planning on getting a sub ~5000 lbs "wet weight" travel trailer early next year. That said we still love our camping and light overlanding so here are the early steps. The bed rails are KB Voodoo, the roof rack is Yakima Load Warrior recycled from my Outback, as is the bike rack, for my kid who loves riding her bike around the State Park Camping loops.

Side rails/steps to come later, among other things obviously, just getting started.The backpacking is just me lol.

I see that already. I have the short list as it is..
-Trailer break controller
-side rail/steps
-wait to see how the truck goes the trailer and see if I want a tow performance tune.
-Roush cat-back exhaust
