Warranty Replacement

Does anyone here know for sure that when a tranny or engine is replaced on a new vehicle, is the replacement new or remanufactured? I have been told via a dealer that replacements are remanufactured not brand new.

Your warranty terms probably state what is acceptable for a replacement and it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.

Do tell though.... did you blow and engine or transmission ?

Oh no, only going off of what a dealer had told me years ago. My understanding was you are not getting brand new, but remanufactured. Trying to find what is true?
