Due for my first oil change, I’m at 4300 miles. Was thinking of going to Valvoline Instant Oil Change for my first one. The dealership is really far away. Anyone go there regularly? Should I not go there? What oil in general is best for my truck? Trying to really take care of this truck, I absolutely love it.

thanks

Think most members would agree here. The quick oil change joints will negate any savings you might have gotten with bigger headaches later on. Be it stripped plug threads to under or over fill. Been there and done that, got the tee shirt that says so and my bank account is lighter for it.

If you don’t want to do the dealer route use a trusted mechanic or just do it yourself. The one thing about doing it yourself is using quality oil filters like Wix or Mobile 1. Oil is the best synthetic you can afford. Mobile 1 advanced formula or even better but more money is Amsoil.

It’s your truck, the better you treat it the more it will give back in the long run.

If you do decide to do it yourself keep receipts and a log book of work done and when you did it. That covers your warranty
