That doesn't tell you if 2023 is going to be a 5G or 6G model though. I'm guessing 2023 is still going to be a 5G. I guess we will find out in a little over a month.
I don't know if the Raptor will be available when the order bank opens, or if Raptor production will begin at Job #1. Also, your dealer"s allocation might come into play, so check with your dealer toward the end of this month.
The North American 2023 Ranger is definitely a 6G, using a modified version of the current T6 architecture. Michigan Assembly Plant (MAP) has already been down several weeks over the past few months for at least a couple of reasons: vital chips prioritized for F-150, Bronco and Maverick, soft demand, some early changeover activity. Ford hasn't said if any 2022MY customer orders will be bumped to 2023 MY, but highly unlikely as the 2023 will be "reimagined." Motor 1 says the NA Ranger Raptor will be later in the MY or as a 2024. The 2022 ROW Raptor is pictured; NA will get different front bumper & driving lights and different fender vents (no diesel for NA).That doesn't tell you if 2023 is going to be a 5G or 6G model though. Interesting. I would have thought we would have seen some official shots of the NA version by now if they were indeed going to start producing them in 4 months. I will be interested to see what tweaks they do on the NA version. The North American 2023 Ranger is definitely a 6G, using a modified version of the current T6 architecture. If everything holds together, the first non-Raptor NA 2023's should start arriving at dealers before Christmas.
It’s been reported multiple times that the new NA Ranger would begin production in May, 2023 at MAP. Starting that late in the year, I do not see why they would sell it as a 2023 and not a 2024. I would expect the current Ranger as a 2023 and then the changeover as reported (unless Ford decides to have a gap in the product line for months).Interesting. That was my understanding and expectation as well, hence why I said I thought the 2023 would be a 5G, not a 6G. I guess we will know for sure relatively soon. It’s been reported multiple times that the new NA Ranger would begin production in May, 2023 at MAP. Probably 0 to 2 mpg if you are driving it like it was intended? What's the mpg expected to be on the raptor?
