Not the first problem to date.
Of course I probably just jinxed myself. It will die on the way home.
2021 five years old next month.
Has had every single maintenance recommended every 5000 miles.

Honestly, that's really good!

2021 here, 134k. Rebuilt trans, then replaced trans (warranty), new HVAC box, rebuilt rear end.

Just checked my original brake pads, and they're only halfway through!

What went wrong with the rear end?

Pinion bearings went bad, took it to a great local drive line shop and they said it's been pretty common on these D44s. He strongly recommended changing fluid every other oil change. I drive majority highway miles and apparently the rear end doesn't have a chance to cool down in those conditions.

I’m getting a slight grinding noise in the driveline and that’s why I asked. What indicators did you have?

Sounded like a fan was whirring in the bed shell, speed dependent

I had them replace the whole thing with a Yukon unit

What did that cost if you don’t mind me asking? I’m afraid I need to budget for the same thing I can’t complain at 148,000
