Hi all, just purchased a 2023 XLT and was looking at some roof rack options. I came across a company by the name of TrailMax in Australia, their stuff looks nice. I probably like the look of it better than anything I’ve seen in the U.S. market. Anyone have experience with this brand? I searched for forum but didn’t see their name come up anywhere.

Price? Mounting scheme? All things to consider. Been researching this myself and looked at several. By several I mean probably a half dozen or more.

When I say looked at, I mean either watched or read through their entire installation process. It matters because the rangers don't come with rails installed, so you're doing some amount of drilling, riveting, riv nutting, etc.

Consider all that before you go with something just based on looks.

It can look great. Then you get it home and realize you have to drill 8 holes on EACH side of your roof. That's a lot of drilling, a lot of potential for error and misalignment, and a lot of possibilities for water intrusion.

Then look at how it's being attached. Rivets don't make me feel real warm and fuzzy with weight on the roof, potentially being off roaded. Not a lot of meat holding onto sheet metal.

Long story made longer. I'm going JCR, only two holes I think per side, reusing existing holes, and it bolts through the holes into place. Me likey, but good luck in your search I've heard nada about this rack. Give them a call and try to find a US dealer because importing is a bizatch.

Thanks! Yea in the same boat as you, ideally would like a no drill option. The Trailmax looks like it needs drilling on the front supports only. But no US dealer it seems so not very viable for me. I'll take a look at the JCR
