Ive been getting random trailer connected/disconnected messages along with "Check right trailer light" and "cross traffic deactivated with trailer attached" . All without a trailer attached.

At first it seemed to be related to moisture, i.e. rain, snow, car wash, etc. now it does it most times after start up and occasionally while just driving along. The 4 pin seemed to have some moisture, so I cleaned and put some dielectric grease in it, but it still does it.

A quick google search shows this has also been an issue with the larger 150, 350,s etc ,and on them it was the plug behind the bumper and sometimes they had to replace the whole assembly .

Anyone else had this? I have used the plugs and towed a trailer a few times and I will take it to the dealer, just curious if anyone else has seen this too.

I ended up unplugging it behind the bumper and putting dielectric grease on the connectors, I also lubed up the 7 and 4 pin connectors and its been good since.
